I notice you're avatar has this game!!!
I was only 15 at the time, living in Surrey and my grandad took me and my brother. We couldn't get in the Cardiff end and, with my grandad being from swansea, he took us on the north bank. I remember there being sackloads of aggro in the ground and City fighting jacks (my memory is a little hazy on this) and then running to the north bank, which is obviously LordNinian's avatar snap) and all lining up in front of the terrace goading the jacks on. I also remember the fighting in the north bank. Amazing game for my first City away game (of sorts)

Yehhh brilliant mun....i can see myself in the avatar pic..near the touchline black webge, burburry and dark cords..![]()
We went down there again a few weeks later to watch the last ever home international against N.Ireland....2 car loads from the upper rhondda fach..we made away again to the east terrace, only to be sussed out by the north bank ,by the middle of the first half we were surrounded by 30 or soo jacks in Fila & pringle...They had a go at us for our terrace attire calling us scruffs and havnt we heard of fila etc...little did they knowwe were all dressed in armani jumpers, burburry jackets & Harriss tweeds...around that time terrace fashion was changing on a weekly basis so I think we knocked them off their tracks with this early Italian & outer hebredies labels..
..then one of them asked my lumper of a mate.."Who the f**k are you"...replying in true rhondda fashion..."Cardiff why!! and what are you going to do about it?"With that it kicked off and spilled onto pitch as the game was still in play....the law soon rounded the fila/pringle brigade up and made a few swift arrests...luckly for us we managed to get away with just being escorted around the pitch towards the west terrace ...Happy days...
I can understand the feeling of some people regarding this as my childern have season tickets...but back then it was a way of life and I would never change those memories if I could...

I was seeing stars after that kicking Lord Ninian, if you remember a Swan, standing on a corner a few weeks earlier, remembered us.
Alas we battered you all the way to High St station! On the way back towards town about a hundred of us were walking past the Dragon hotel, and around the corner walks my little blond friend with about 4/5 of his mates! He looked me straight in the eye and looked like his whole world had just ended! But I kept my mouth shut and let him on his way! And thats the way it was in them days, I don't remember feeling any hatred, it was all just a crack and I never remember anyone getting badly hurt. The hatred seems to have started when the violence stopped. Mainly by people who were not old enough to have been involved. Tue Oct 29, 2013 11:39 pm

Talk about recognising people, I was managing a shop in Cheltenham at the time and on the morning of the game told my Asst manager I was taking the rest of the day off to travel home and watch the game. I got on the train still in my suit, changed at Cardiff Central and when we pulled into Neath the train filled with Cardiff lads. I remember some blond fella standing where I was still sat and kinda smirked at me sitting there in my suit, but he didn't give me any grief. Anyway, train pulls into Swansea, home for a quick change and off to the match. I was involved when you lot decided to come around the back of North bank to get us on our way out!Alas we battered you all the way to High St station!
