Port Talbot - traditonal

I was brought up in baglan which I'd say was the only jack dominant area in pt but I followed city because

a) my family did
b) traditonal cardiff support - but the rugby types tend to lean toward the swans
c) swansea is a bit backward in its outlook
d) catching the train only took 10 mins longer

It was difficult when the jacks were in the old div1 when I was 9 but then was still 50/50

Tradition Jinks, over the years, certainly through the 70's, city fans just seemed to pop up from most places in Neath Port Talbot and up the valleys to Blaengwynfi, I think maybe because the city through the 50's and 60's had a great team and a great following, interesting to point out that perhaps we are now getting closer to those times where one day we will be the dominant force again around these parts, although, like you said it's not bad down here now. :ayatollah: :old:

my grandfather who died some 20 odd years ago used to regale the time he went up to cardiff to see the city bring back the cup from England.although this obviously played a part in influencing a young boy`s football allegiences,. there has always been a great friction in relation to NEATH/SWANSEA-as an egg chasing fan (neath) we always hated the jacks for their arrogant "we are a city attitude"when in fact they are merely a largish TOWN (NOT A PROPER CITY LIKE CARDIFF).As a season ticket holder in the family stand with my son-i was quite surprised when he told me there were more cardiff season ticket holders in his class than jacks-why is this -i really dont know?SORRY I DO ---WE ARE THE NUMBER ONE TEAM IN WALES
