Why? He never blew for a foul.

may not have blown for a foul but what about the booking for diving, and was that a blatent hand ball we all saw including the ref and linesman and well bless my soul no booking for that either!!

the sad thing about all that was that a little bit of common sense could have been used in that situation.
Clattenburg had the chance to rectify his mistake when he spoke to the linesman but perhaps he saw an opportunity to have himself in the headlines again.
to often we see referee's these days with their own websites and blogs and in their own tiny minds they consider themselves to be as big as the players and crave the limelight their contoversial desicions bring.
surely now the fourth official should be allowed to watch the sky monitor and relate his opinion to the referee.

Ok, it was clearly a handball, which I reckon he saw but with the keeper in posession of the ball there was no need to stop the game. He signalled that to the keeper, never stopped the game and then when the keeper put the ball down he gestured to him in a "what are you doing?" manner. After the gaol, the assistant flagged. I'm pretty certain he's said "Nani handled" and the reply was "I know, but the keeper had posession and I kept the game flowing" as we are ecouraged to do.

Refs come in for a lot of criticism, and alot of it is due. However this was stupidity by the Spurs keeper, nothing less.

I don't think he did anything wrong.

It wasn't a dive, Nani was clearly grabbed by the defender, and I think he had his heel clipped. (not sure about the heel clip, I've only seen the replay once)
He didn't see the handball (or didn't see it as a massive deal, the keeper had the ball anyway), and the linesman didn't flag for it (at least, not until far far far too late).

The people in the wrong were the linesman, and the goalkeeper.

Lots of errors -
1 Should have been a penalty as Nani's shirt was clearly pulled and then released causing him to go down ( refs assistant error)
2 He blatantly handled the ball, but again the refs assistant did nothing
3 When Clattenberg waved play on Gomez threw the ballon the floor ??? ( what a dick )
4 When Gomez ran over to the refs assistant, he suddenly found his flag
5 When Clattenberg spoke to the idiot with the flag, Rio Ferdinand was allowed to listen/join in. Why wasn't he booked?
