Norwich my day

WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE

Sounds amazing doesn't it but its true. On Monday we caught QPR up today we flew past them :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
I started the day catching a train from Pengam to Ninian to get to the Ninian Pub about 11.15.
Inside was quiet with only a few fans in there but we were treated to a rerun of the Leeds game which went down very well with my Strongbow. First in to whom i recognized was Annis and his Daughter soon followed by Milly,Chippy and Baz. Lots of other forum members but did not know there names sorry. One funny moment is when Dai Hunt made a guest appearance where he exchanged words with Annis  and on his way out he was shouting at Annis he was either going to Hospital or be locked up at the police station :? to which the whole lounge burst out laughing.

I had just sat down with another Strongbow when everyone rushed to the window and looking out a shadowy figure came running from under the rail way bridge holding the FA Cup  f**k me i thought the ghost of Fred Keenor had come back!! but no it was none other than Jonny Owen. Soon followed by Catatonia bass guitarist Owen Powell another real gent.
Everyone had there photo with the lads and the replica FA Cup and then we were treated to the great Fred Keenors Nephew who gave a great speech :ayatollah: it was an honour to listen to him and he also showed unseen photos of his Uncle Fred. :ayatollah:

we were soon joined by my mate Pete and his Wife Lisa who had just came from Asda and said she was told they had sold out of the single "ill be there" to which we found out later they had not.
We were treated to another appearance from the legend Dai Hunt to which the whole Lounge burst into "there's only one Dai Hunt" which he loved but none of us ment it.

The time was fast approaching quarter to two and we was all marching to Asda with Jonny, Owen and The nephew of Fred Keenor. Jonny and Freds Nephew were holding the Cup and he looked the part in his 1927 replica football shirt. And i must say now he looked a spitting image of his uncle. All the songs were being sung and we started picking up more fans on the way.
Passing TV cameras on the way. In Asda was immense as big queues formed to have there Ill be there CDs signed by The Stand.
On the way back from the toilets Fishy and me was going around the store telling fans about the Cd and persuading them to buy one.

On to the stadium and i couldn't get threw the turnstile whilst a steward was sorting my card out some fella was trying to get into the ground by feeding the card slot with a tenner    Me and the steward just looked at each other, i was about to say he needed a £20 note when the steward told him he needed a ticket.

Our team was unchanged from Monday and may i say now Norwich were by far the best visiting team to come to the CCS in my opinion and they were matched with there terrific support.
We raced into a two goal lead with Jay and Chops, but Norwich to there credit put us under tremendous pressure and they scored a deserved goal. But within minutes Norwich concede a penalty which Whitts Cooley tucked away.
We nearly had a second penalty soon after an even more stone wall than the first one. Half time and it was a terrific game.

How many sit near to someone who absolutely pongs ? well we were and he smelt like Anne Widdecombe's piss flaps after ten hours of dancing practise (Allegedly)
I also had a text of some one who had claimed he'd been beaten up by a 7ft Black fella!! he reckoned he only said Golly your tall

The second half started brightly and Norwich looked very dangerous but we held on to a fantastic win which sent us to the top of the table, after QPR only drew. The only sour note is when Jay picked up that dreaded booking,so much for one forum member trying to kidnap Jay last night   but it was evened out when we heard Pratley is suspended as well :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

The Fans were singing on Monday this is the best trip Ive ever been on !! well it certainly is, the jacks are coming up next sunday but i honestly believe they wont be as good as Norwich were today, but the mighty CCFC is on the roll and i cant see anyone stopping us. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
