Parking Ticket

Thu Oct 28, 2010 12:18 pm

I received a parking ticket in the ASDA car park recently during one of the games and just ignored it. Today i have had a enforcement letter from Euro Car Park, stating that the fine is not paid, the it will be passed to a debt collection agency. Should i pay it?

I have had two off of them. The latest one was the WBA game last season and one well before that.

Ignore it! You will get more nagging mail from them but don't answer them and they will eventually stop. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

your best bet is to park up by costco because this part of the car park does not have the same rules as asda

I parked there many games and have had no problems, I may just be lucky

in regards to your ticket id pay up asap I received a parking ticket which was a fine of £40 i ignored it for around 8 months the next thing I had bailiffs at my door demanding £360 so your best bet is def to pay up

Good luck

I have noticed that on match days Costco car park is full of cars displaying the official CCFC car parking permit.

If they've found out your address, then they must have paid the DVLA to get your details!

If they've splashed out cash to get your details, I would say that they mean business and as Born2bblue advised, you may well be better off paying up, as it gets a whole lot more expensive if the bailiffs get involved!

You could send them a letter however and ask if they've got a photo of the vehicle entering the car park, stating that you can't remember who was driving! The onus is on them to prove that you were the driver at the time and not yourself to admit it!

If you read my post on the bottom of this thread viewtopic.php?f=2&t=16402&start=0, then you may find some god advice there! :ayatollah:

just ignore it mate .to enforce any action they would have to take an action against you in the county court.you can defend any action as unreasonable as you were using any of the shops etc, etc, all you will get is alot of threating letters,if they do go to court dont ignore it just defend the action.they would proberly not even turn up on the day ,case won.civil parking tickets i,e tickets you pick up in supermarket car parks are totally diffrent to the fixed penalty tickets you pick up off your locall authority i,e traffic wardens, these will land you in the shit if you dont cought up.

They are not charging the owner of the vehicle they are charging the driver at the time. All you have to do is reply in writing stating that you were not the driver of the vehicle at the time and you are not obliged to tell them who was. There is ahold piece on private car park charges on www.moneysavingexpert.com have a read through that.

can only confirm what splottman has said. the Driver OF THE CAR IS LIABLE not the owner. I HAVE HAD MANY TICKETS FROM SUPERMARKETS,SERVICE STATIONS ETC-jUST SAY CAR IS USED BY VARIOUS PEOPLE AND CANNOT ASCERTAIN WHO WAS USING THE CAR ON THAT DAY.
