Krystian Bielik ? ? ?

Mon Oct 26, 2026 11:36 am

Krystian Bielik when playing a great player and a great addition to our squad:

But he’s had so many Clubs and I was told by a few other fans clubs he’s very injury prone?

From Walsall, Derby twice, Birmingham to WBA, Krystian Bielik has been out injured for long periods and hopefully his latest injury he’s back playing next Saturday as we have a thin and small squad.

The injury prone thing is a myth.

Before last season, he'd played 30+ league games for three seasons in a row.

We've had 12 league games this season and he's played in seven of them, with two of the games he missed being a suspension and he signed after the first two games of the season.

The only game he's missed through injury is Saturday and that was just because he felt his groin so BBM didn't want to take a chance given the other CB issues we have.

These are the facts.

Let's hope he does not continue his run of injuries we have enough out as it is.

Which is exactly why BBM said he didn't take a chance with him on Saturday, he learnt from the Lawlor situation.

As I said, if you look at the facts then it's pretty clear he's not injury prone.

Unusually I find myself agreeing with Ned on this one. The facts are the facts and he's only missed one game through injury.

If he does get injured and out for a period of time we are in trouble. :bluebird:

I agree, and I'll look like an idiot as usual if he's out for a bit of time with this injury. I'm just going by what BBM said after the game.

Well Gentlemen, I do see your points but he always plays a lot at first for clubs and has had some serious operations in his years and ends up going from club to club.

From Walsall, Derby twice, Birmingham to WBA, Krystian Bielik has been out injured for long periods, Hopefully does not happen here.

I repeat though a quality player when playing and if stays fit will fit in well as he has done so far.

I'll return to my original point, before last season he had played 30+ league games for three seasons in a row. He has missed just one game this season because of an injury. An injury prone player doesn't do that.

This is not an opinion, these are the facts. People can choose to ignore them or not, that's their choice.

If he's out for a while then it'll be a concern but doesn't seem to be the case.

And when Osho and Lawlor return, we will have sufficient players to rest him on occasions so he's not playing with knocks.

You can both be right?

He could have been injury prone in the past, but that could have improved more recently

An injury prone player doesn't play 30+ league games for three successive seasons.

Yeah, he's not injury prone either.

He's played 30+ league games in four of the last five seasons.

The guy had a knee tear five years ago which hasn't repeated and a broken shoulder which I'd put under freak incident. Injury prone to me is what Ramsey was or Lawlor at the moment 5 games and then another pull

I completely agree with the broader point, but to play devil's advocate, he missed two full seasons with back-to-back ACL injuries. Some people say those knee problems never truly go away, and there is always a significantly higher risk of a third tear compared to someone who has never had that history.

But that's sort of irrelevant, the last time was over five years ago and he hasn't had a knee injury since. The reason he missed Saturday was he felt his groin - that's got nothing to do with a knee injury.

As has been mentioned, the other bad injury was a shoulder - again unrelated.

It's a total myth that he's injury prone. It's just not true.

I think people are looking for things that aren't there.

Exactly the knee problem was 5 years ago bad injury but doesn't seem to be a recurring issue

Think Ned has hit the nail on the head with that one. There’s a difference between saying Bielik is Injury prone instead of a player who suffered some serious injuries. He has proved his fitness by playing over 30 games a season consecutively after he suffered two serious knee Injuries. An Injury prone player does not come back from that. Even if he is out for a month now that doesn't get him the label of injury prone. I've lived in Warsaw for the past 10 years (just back to Cardiff now) and most Legia and Polish fans said to me he is mentally unstable and a bit of a mad man but most agreed he has passed his injury problems.
