Scanlon today

Thought we looked so much more dangerous with scanlons pace on the overlap today , i think hes going to be a cracking player as he gets more game time would really like to keep him permanently

I really like him.

He's quick but he's also hard working.

Thought he looked vulnerable at times maybe a lack of game time but as we never really gave them a sniff at back no complaints... definitely more forward looking with him in defence.

Had a great game and adds another dimension to our play.

I think Scanlon is one of our most underrated players. IMO he should start every game and a consistent run will not only help his match fitness but also his confidence, which will make him even better.

I agree 100% - looked real quality yesterday and could be a very important fture member of the the team long term!!

The whole team went up a notch yesterday .fantastic performance in terrible weather conditions.

Bagan is brilliant in both positions, though probably better at fullback, but it's close.

It's great to have a choice at left-back at last.

Think scanlon plays a more attack minded game than bagan , bagan tends to advance forward then looks to pass back scanlon got that attacking game in his locker

I agree; and BBM clearly saw ‘something’ in the lad to bring him back for a second spell. He’ll improve further with game time, too!

As much as I do like Scanlon, I wouldn't say that he's deserved to be at LB more often this season because Bagan has mostly been good.

That'll change as the season goes on though with injuries, suspensions, drop of form etc.

He was originally meant to play LW yesterday so think we'll see him in that position at times too.

When I saw he was down for left wing originally my first thought was that it was to keep that highly rated right back pinned back (double barreled name) and he certainly did that; forcing him to turn back to his keeper as Scanlon was all over him. As you say, he’ll only get better.

Scanlon looks good but Bagan is number one left back
