Unfortunately this isn't the first time a manager has had an issue with Robinson.

Truth is he's not going to play ahead of Moylan or Salech. Yes he can score goals but doesn't have the all round play.

It seems the issues are resolved for now and I hope he can be on the bench tomorrow, but we all know he'll be going at the end of the season. He's on too much money.

I don't get all the lovin for old Robbo... Comes on scores the odd goal, rarely does anything when he starts and is slow for a striker now.

Most goals scored in a season at his prime... 12... He is a 1 in 4 or 5 game "striker". Sorry that is not good enough for this division.

I agree.

Some people are talking about him like he's Harry Kane. He may have scored a couple this season but his all round play has been poor.

As for the disciplinary stuff, we can't say whether it's right or wrong because we don't know what it's for. But I don't want a manager to give up his values just because he needs a player in that position. If he did, some would be very quick to call him weak.

The way I see it is that BBM is the ‘boss’ and he (and his coaching staffs) set the ‘standards’ in and off the pitch, and when a player falls short of those standards, there will be consequences

To be fair, to my knowledge, none of us know what the ‘breach of standards’ was, so it’s speculation, and it’s not just Calum Robinson who has been subject to sanction in recent times, if people care to reflect, and it has to be so, if BBM is to maintain those ‘standards’ within his squad and then transfer them to the pitch on a match day

As Ned says, it appears to have blown over inside the club, so hopefully he will be in the squad for tomorrow’s game and his dad (who with due respect can have his own opinion in support of his son) can have the same ‘influence’ on BBM and his squad as he normally have, i.e. very little, if any! :ayatollah:

*Fact Check*
Not once has his father said he was/is "poorly treated".
Look at the post again, that's not his fathers account.

His Father's account says he deserves better, which is subjective and obviously has a bias.

It was a disciplinary, they dealt with it, move on.

We can all have our opinions, but lets base it on facts and not assumptions.

He is a high earner at our club, and should be a leader and set an example. That is a fact!

I’d rather focus on Saturday’s game. Internal matters should remain internal, and I trust the management team to handle the situation appropriately.

It’s all opinions but I agree with you both.

Exactly and it's not like he didn't know the score, he wasn't getting game time in league one when Salech missed pretty much the entire second half of the season. I'm sure if he was desperate to play he could have negotiated a release, I totally understand why he didn't you'd be mad to leave the kind of money he's on but it's still his choice at the end of the day. People saying he should play more why?

4th best striker at the club behind:

Salech
Moylan
Rubin (played false 9 away at either Rotherham or Doncaster last season and was far more effective than Robinson)

Best finisher at the club, but that isn't enough.

What annoys me is people questioning him being left out last week for disciplinary reasons, when none of us know what the reasons are. It's been made clear that it's a private matter.

So none of can say if it was right or wrong or if we disagree or agree, because we don't know.

Exactly, we want the players to meet the required standards; you don't hear this happening regularly, which can only be a good thing; it means that most of the players don't fall foul of these measures unless they are deserved.

He didn't meet the standards dropped for a week; end of story.

Exactly, but 99% of us should trust BBM to manage the situation; he's a top manager, not a reactionary hothead.

Moylan is outstanding as a Striker and can play attacking midfield and striker in the same game.
