BBM:
"We appealed against Osho's red card but no success. It feels the same as last season. We appealed it because we thought we had a good case but it was dismissed. He'll be banned for three games.
Certain things didn't go our way in that game. Jack Moylan was through on goal and was pulled down. The feedback from the assessor was that he clipped his own heels.
We explained why that might have been, because he was pulled down. But it is what it is, we can't control that. We have to move on quickly and focus on ourselves."

Ref was a filthy cheat, got it

He clipped his own heels then the Middlesbrough player in an act of good sportsmanship grabbed Moylans shirt to try and stop him from falling

Wow 3 games

If that's right then Lankshear clipped his own heels too but the ref missed that and sent Osho off.
Would have much more respect for these chumps if they, just once in a while, admitted to their own incompetence.

Why did we appeal? It was a clear red card and it was never going to get overturned. How stupid are we?

Thankfully that's only your opinion, which is wrong according to the majority on here.

The majority were wrong then because like I said, it was never going to get overturned.

I didn't even think we were going to appeal as it's usually a waste of time anyway but as for the actual red card decision you're obviously wrong, it was a yellow at best.

Stand by my thoughts. Appeal was always unlikely to win but it wasn't a red card.
I do think that some judge some players on initial appearances and therefore will take the opposing side to them at every opportunity - Tanner and Osho are two of those.

Definitely a red card.
He went in hard, high and late.
And thats from someone whos played competitive football all my adult life and love a hard tackle.
As a player I like Osho, he's decent but he's a liability.
Many on here with blue tinted glasses on.

What a load of rubbish, blue tinted glasses ffs, just because someone disagrees with you about something doesn't mean they're wearing any such thing. I didn't see anyone saying that when I said Bielik would get a ban as soon he put his hands on that kid.

Yellow card. Same as the Botman challenge for Newcastle later that afternoon which was checked by VAR.

Botman got the ball first though, which is completely different to Osho totally missing the ball.

You've got an obsession with getting the ball first. It doesn't matter anymore because the game and guidance has changed, it was a far more dangerous tackle than from Osho.
Botman also went in with two feet but Osho went in with one.
Thoughts on the penalty decision, is the explanation fair?
