Injury update - Salech back but Lawlor out AND

Thu Oct 22, 2026 10:46 am

BBM:

“Yousef Salech is back in full training. He's fit and good to go.

“Dylan Lawlor's hamstring injury means he won't be back until after the international break. That's his timescale for now.

“Perry Ng is expected to train today, and his back condition is improving daily, so hopefully he'll be available for Saturday.

“Rubin Colwill is close, but we're not quite sure about him yet. “The temptation for all of us, myself included, is to get him back as soon as possible. He's been out for so long with this injury, and even when he came back previously, he wasn't perfect. I just want to make sure he's really confident and assured in how he's moving, so that we can get him back for the remainder of the season and not just rush him back for one game.

“Isaak Davies has just had a baby boy, so fingers crossed he's back with us today. Big congratulations to him and his family, and we'll see how he is.

“Joel Colwill been unwell in the lead-up to the game. His brother had been quite sick, and Joel had some issues himself. He seems fine now.

So at least 20th November for Lawlor

At this rate he will miss half the season and was in out last season.

Thats good for Yousef Salech

It's not great for Dylan Lawlor, but (thankfully) not as long as some had immediately suggested :ayatollah:

I'll stick up for BBM on a lot of stuff, but I think it was a mistake for him to start Lawlor in those two games within a short space of time when he'd only just come back.

I hope we don't rush him back this time because need to get him fit for the whole second half of the season.

I agree Ned,

That’s the problem when you have such a small squad you become desperate.

I agree the squad is a bit thin in certain positions- up front and wingers in particular- but not centre back. We have 5 experienced centre backs plus Ng and Bagan who can play there. We have been very unlucky with injuries in that position which has left us vulnerable to suspensions. Almost cursed. whoever plays there

Hopefully he puts Salech on the bench, he just hasn't been the same for me since his injury last season.

Moylan deserves to stay in that position anyway, based on how he's done in the last couple of games.

Good to have Salech back though, gives us two different options to play there.
