Middlesbrough head coach Kim hellberg told
BBC Tees:
"It's difficult to process. If you look at both halves, I think we were quite good in both halves.
“The difference in the first half is they scored two good goals where we should defend better and we were a little bit sloppy and not clinical enough. In the first-half we had so many chances to create more.
"In the second half we got a little bit better, got goals with our chances and overall we had around 40 shots.
“We had to defend goals better - that's a main thing that makes me disappointed. It was individual errors from some players in terms of things they always do so well.
I understand why, because it's been three tough games in a short amount of time.
"The balance was (to rest Lankshear).
You try as a coach to find the right way of when to give opportunities.
It's not always about resting for the legs, it could be for the head, or as a coach a responsibility to create depth.
We have enough players to do that."

I think he thought they would beat us easily without having to use his best players which frankly showed us a lack of respect.
Soon realised the error of his ways at half time.
Must be nice to have the luxury of a multi million pound striker to bring off the bench at 0-2 down.

Those 40 shots were in the main non threatening and easy for trott to handle . Was more like 6 dangerous shots 34 powderpuff ones..

Lankshear played the under 21 games and then three games in a week so was rested. That’s not disrespect at all.

Could have rested him in either of the two previous games last week but didn't.

One was Stoke away the other wolves home.
Was subbed in both games. But if he has to rest him it’s gonna be a home game against us isn’t it? It’s not a lack of respect.

To be fair, Lankshear is a physical striker.
Hellberg has got to know this league and will know a physical striker can't play 90 minutes for 46 games.
For these reasons, I'd like to think we'll be able to give Salech a rest or take him off early every now and then - especially now we know Moylan can go in that position.
