Moylan and Tanner stats

I know some don't like stats like this but here's some on a couple of our players.

Jack Moylan

Joint second in the league with Will Lankshear for goals and assists, only behind Jarrod Bowen.

Ollie Tanner ranking for wingers in the Championship

Goals and assists - 4th (5)
Assists - 2nd (3)
Big Chances Created - 5th (4)
Chances Created - 2nd (23)

It always makes me laugh the things I see on here Ned but all about opinions. We have all read such things the last month or two like "Tanner needs a rest he's hopeless" yet up there with the best wingers in the league stats.

I watched a bit of the Everton Chelsea game, Moylan would be an Everton starter..... Not sure we even keep him over the winter window. Someone will test our resolve with a chunky offer.

He caught the eye in L1 with a non-footballing team, but is looking like one of the better players in the Championship with a team that lets him demonstrate what he is all about. Great age, still improving.

Tanner is a winger; when he is on it, he is almost unplayable, then other days the haters can hate. I just think he takes an age to get match fit.

Coincidentally, they both missed the scholar years of coaching and play off the cuff.

What's this myth about Tanner not having been at an Academy? He was with Arsenal as a youth for about 5 years.

That's why i said scholars rather than youth. He didn't do the old apprenticeship; he was never paid to develop.

Whether Moylan goes in January probably depends on our valuation of him. If it's high then I don't see a PL club spending big money on a player based on half a season.

However, if he carries on like he has been until the end of the season then we'll be severely tested next summer. I would hope we can keep him for a couple of seasons.

I think PL clubs will no doubt be looking at him but will want to see what he does over the course of the season.

No idea if he has a release clause.
