TODAY CARDIFF I HAVE TO SAY CARDIFF WERE ABSOLUTELY

Sat Oct 10, 2026 3:52 pm

TODAY CARDIFF I HAVE TO SAY CARDIFF WERE ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL OVER ALL, WE WERE NOT EVEN HAVING SHOTS AT THE BLACKBURN GOAL

ONE WIN IN NINE LEAGUE GAMES IS DEF NOT GOOD ENOUGH AND PUTS CARDIFF BACK JOINT BOTTOM 3.

Blackburn with only 1 win in their last 7 games and Cardiff with only 1 win in their last 9 games going in to this game looked evenly matched.

1ST HALF CARDIFF WERE DREADFUL.

Jack Moylan for me is our best player and everywhere and man of the match
Even Blackburn Commentators said Moylan the best player outstanding

Plus Nathan Trott despite 2 goals made many good Saves.

Cardiff also give the ball away far to often

POSSESSION BLACKBURN 41 % CARDIFF 59 %

SHOTS: Blackburn 17 Cardiff 7

SHOTS ON TARGET: Blackburn 8 Cardiff 1

FIRST-HALF: CARDIFF WERE AWFUL, TOOK 34 MINS TO GET A SHOT AND THE DEFENCE WAS TORN OPEN BY BLACKBURN

After 20 mins, No shots on target from either side.

Penalty shout, Blackburn wanted a penalty as Gudjohnsen goes down under pressure from Ng. Nothing given.

it was coming
29 mins GOAL! Blackburn 1-0 Cardiff City (Gudjohnsen), way way too easy.

30 mins No shots from Cardiff

34 mins First shot of the game for Cardiff and it's nearly a stunning strike, but wide

39mins GOAL! Blackburn 2-0 Cardiff City (Cantwell)
It's going from bad to worse for Cardiff, absolutely tore our defense to pieces.

SECOND-HALF: OK AN IMPROVEMENT, BUT CARDIFF COULD NOT HAVE GOT ANY WORSE.

53mins - Brilliant from @JackMoylan8 in the build-up and a clinical finish from @CallumRobinson7. 2-1 goal

59mins Cardiff sub Willock replaces Ashford. Ashford had done nothing today.

63mins Double Sub Blackburn

65mins Brilliant double save by Trott

70 mins Double Sub Cardiff

Isaak Davies replaced Robinson
Turbull replaced Joel Colwill

Cardiff were now looking the better team

78 mins Another Double Sub by Cardiff

Scanlon and Kapakio on
Bagan and Lawlor off

Moylan was non stop taking us forward.

80 mins Trott with a save!
Gets down well at his near post to keep out Kargbo's effort.

92Mins GREAT SAVE BY TROTT AGAIN

One win in 9 is relegation form.

BBM is out of his depth at this level.

Only one positive from today was moylan ball to Robinson to tap home for the goal, apart from that it's the same one trick BBM style of play. We deserved nothing and got nothing. But our squad isnt a top half squad most with a brain cell know this after the window passed us.

I personally think the Team has to many league 1 players not Championship

But I am worried about BBM saying he was happy big worry that

Just didn’t strengthen enough in the transfer window. It’s so evident that we haven’t got enough championship quality in there.

Two poor goals given away.

But by no means a disaster, away games in this league unpredictable.

Blackburn executed their gameplan well.

No need to panic.

This is on him. He won’t last long.

We’ll be giving Gary Rowett a ring soon at this rate.

Small squad, players always injured.
We are in danger of going straight back down

If your upbeat after that I'm amazed at your positive vibes ned . They executed it because we don't have another way of doing anything that's the reason :bluescarf:

Not bottom 3 but we are struggling. So poor away from home. Still need to keep our heads though.

Where did I say I was upbeat? Obviously it's disappointing to lose.

I just don't make knee jerk reactions to every defeat.

If people on here ran the club we'd have a different manager every week

Well it's not, because we're not in the bottom three

They played the perfect game and we had no out ball. They knew with our front line that long wasn’t a threat and so pressed us deep.

Robinson had plenty of stick but not sure anyone in that team other than a Salech style player would have made any impact, we couldn’t get the ball out and when we did we were far too slow in build up to cause an issue.

Unfortunate with the second goal as Trott nearly kept it out, but then they could have had a lot more. We didn’t have an answer to what they played, second half was better but they missed far more chances than us even in the second half.

Well defeated today, on to the next one, hopefully a positive result

Annis, this is going to be a long, long season and it's all down to that shambles of a transfer window. There are too many players that are not championship level, it's very worrying.

Well he's not messiah anymore is he.Tactically he's a one trick pony everything is down to him trying to gloss over all the mistakes. He needs to take responsibility and own up to his mistakes. Transfer market on him and him alone so stubborn that's why we only signed who we did don't blame the board I wonder whom I'm talking about?

I dont blame BBM, he was badly let down with the recruitment in the summer. There's no options on the bench to change things up when we are struggling.

The manager is not currently able to show much improvement in a squad the majority of whom proved two seasons ago that they are not good enough for this level.

Moylan head and shoulders above those who have failed in the Championship previously.

Too good for League 1 but this squad was always likely to struggle in the Championship.

BBM never managed at this level and needs to learn quickly.

Hope he's up to the job.

I agree but it was naive to think we would be ok without getting another CDM, wideman with pace and another striker.

My problem is that we have too many players who are nice players on their day but are too wasteful and don’t contribute much if it isn’t their day. Tanner, Ashford and Willock’s end product is nowhere near good enough

If these lot had their way, we'd sack a manager every time we lose.

People just need to take a deep breath and stop lurching from euphoria to wrist slashing every game , the same people in uproar were buzzing after charlton , this season was always going to be up and down and as long as we finish outside the bottom 3 which im 100% certain we will then it will be a decent season

Am I disappointed today , of course traveling all that way to see us lose hurts same as it did at bolton qpr and Pompey, but will I be up at middlesbrough you bet your ass i will be because im fully invested in the bbm Rollercoaster and refuse to get to excited or to disappointed from one week to the next as I trust in bbm,s long term vision for our club

The thing is, you can only find out who can play his way in the championship by trying them.

The midfeild is unbalanced for this level.
No natural defensive midfielder. Robertson's stats may look good, but our goals conceded don't. He gives the ball away far too often for me and is slow to see things that deep. He is at the top of the double pivot, not the base.

Ruben is the only genuine passer in that midfield, someone who splits defences rather than the percentage ball the rest play, but thats at 8 with Moylan the 10

Joel, is an all action tackler runner of a bygone system....I don't think he fits at all

Turnbull is the best continuity passer if we are on top, he is very good, but so little mobility he can't fit into any pressing structure

Ashford may have needed another season in L1 as the second striker, but chances will be limited when Rubin needs to fit

BBM won't change to three centre-halves, but with such good passers and athletes, I think he should. It will totally change the dynamic

Actually a very good assessment of us at the moment
