WELSH WORLD CHAMPION!

Congratulations to Elfyn Evans world rally champion! He won it after his nearest rival went off the rd at last bend only needing to finish to be champion..... previously elfyn was runner up 5 time in previous 6yrs having suffered similar fate when about to win on 2 occasions...... his father gwyndaf was a runner up 4 times so he breaks the jinx! He's only the 3rd British driver to win WRC after Colin McRae and Richard burns.

Really pleased for him. He has had such bad luck in the past. For once it went his way.

Congratulations to him. Don't know much about the sport, but always great to see a Welsh World Champion

Good on him

Congratulations to him. Don't know much about the sport, but always great to see a Welsh World Champion

Ned like I said hes been runner up 5 out 6 years..... he was about to win and twice disaster hit him when going to win... this time disaster hit his team mate and rival solburg with 200mtrs to go slid off rd .... earlier elfyn had a puncture when 21pnts ahead he and co driver change wheel within 3 minutes on the rd! Disaster strikes at anytime as they go flat out to the end thats how he went off could have slowed down a bit and still won but thats not how they race...... saw the end on Sky and its was a good watch laughter tears all in one for both elfyn and solburg...... use to watch his father gwyndaf many years ago thats how was interested in rally one stage is held in Wales around cardiff and the mountains...might been lucky but overall he deserved the win

Great to see

Dramatic ending - Well Done ...
