Gunnarsson

For some reason I assumed that Gunnarsson was much older but he is 38 and played for Iceland today. Plays for Qatar.
Great memories of ‘Thor’

Great bloke solid as F.

Yes he was only in his early 20s when we signed him I think.

Loved Gunners

Was at Old Trafford when he did the Icelantic chant to us

I guess he just always seemed older than most.

Yes after beating man utd way 0-2 the Icelandic chant was the icing on the cake ...and to see ogs walking round the pitch sheepishly was great ending to a great day...not forgetting we had a penalty at old Trafford.....

We did. Ironically it was never a penalty......

Him and Grujic were the unsung heroes of that Warnock promotion side

Wouldn't really call Gunnarsson unsung, the fans rightly loved him. Agree about Grujic though.

Only player to have been in both promotions to PL

Cheers fair play

What a player for us

Pound-for-pound has to be right up there for value for money signings we've made.

Was it like £200k or something like that from Coventry? And came to us as a "crocked/injury prone" player!?

What a career for us. I loved watching him. Proper warrior.

Excellent player for us. gave 100 percent. Top guy too. Met him a few times
