Cardiff City's most valuable transfer asset has been revealed

According to respected football data experts CIES Football Observatory, Cian Ashford currently tops the list. ??

The academy graduate has been given a "fair transfer value" of between €4.3m and €5m – around £3.67m-£4.27m.

Ashford has been a player Cardiff have long regarded as one of the jewels of their academy, and after injuries and a difficult first season, he's now starting to show why.

His form under Brian Barry-Murphy has earned him his first senior Wales call-up.

And tonight, he could make his Wales debut against Norway at Cardiff City Stadium.

The likes of Dylan Lawlor, Rubin Colwill, Joel Colwill and Ronan Kpakio are likely not far behind in their valuations either.

If CIES' figures are anything to go by, Cardiff may have a lot more valuable assets developing under their noses.

How they can value him above Lawlor especially or Rubin is beyond belief. He is turning it to a decent championship player but where do they get this nonsense. Lawlor is acknowledged as a real gem and at a conservative estimate is worth between 10-15 million.

Not sure how they calculate that, considering we've turned down a much bigger offer for him than that previously.

I was invited to a box at the Millennium Stadium for a Wales rugby game last Autumn (sorry). I spoke to a guy who said he was a freelance sports analyst, and he said Cian scored highly on some key metrics these guys look at. No idea how true that is; I was well and truly on the way by that time, but Cian is very safe and rarely gives the ball away, so there may be some truth in it.

This story is just regurgitated AI drivel.

You can add Moylan to that list - unless it's home grown players only :?
