Breaking news reports say that Manchester City have been found guilty of "nearly all" of the 115 charges against them.
The Premier League have declined to comment at this stage.
Manchester City say: "The Premier League process remains ongoing, with significant elements to be completed, and subject to strict confidentiality. As such Manchester City FC’s position remains consistent with the Club’s statement of February 2023. The Club has diligently respected due process for eight years on the basis that the Premier League Board and Executive would behave as an independent, impartial and fair-minded regulator, free from partisan influence".
The Athletic says that sanctions have not been decided but that the Independent Panel have reached their decision.
Manchester City are expected to appeal, if this report is correct.
The 115 charges relate to:
- 54x Failure to provide accurate financial information 2009-10 to 2017-18.
- 14x Failure to provide accurate details for player and manager payments from 2009-10 to 2017-18.
- 5x Failure to comply with Uefa's rules including Financial Fair Play (FFP) 2013-14 to 2017-18.
- 7x Breaching Premier League's PSR rules 2015-16 to 2017-18.
- 35x Failure to co-operate with Premier League investigations December 2018 - Feb 2023.

Should be interesting as there are few breaches of ffp amounts the charges and clubs get docked points for that and recent cases are less than man c are charged with!
A lot are to do with not helping authorities with several different financial deals they undertook regarding clubs and players....
Of course they'll appeal any sanctions? But ybe one scenario is they will appeal every charge individually and that will take many years and would bankrupt premier league its already cost multi millions of £££s to get this far

Been said that the sanctions can be applied while the appeal process is ongoing.
They could be looking at anything from expulsion from the Premier League, massive points deductions, big fines and being stripped of titles.

Can premier league afford years of litigation that is the question annis? Obviously Manchester can withstand any sanctions
Man City is not just one club it is a very big worldwide buisness model involving several clubs sports facilities like etiad campus? E interesting how they react to any sanctions imposed!

Maybe Pep saw the writing on the wall and left

Rule W.51 of the Premier League is the relevant section of its regulations, and it states that options for sanctioning a club found guilty of breaches include the powers to:
“Suspend it from playing in League Matches”
“Deduct points scored or to be scored in League Matches”
“Recommend that the League expels the Respondent from membership”
“Order the Respondent to pay compensation unlimited in amount to any Person or to any Club”
It's mind boggling. The cheating has distorted Premier placings, since
2008
Take our case points
2018//19 we came 18th 3 more points
we would have stayed up & received another season of premier league money
Then there's the players & managers bonus for staying up

There will be appeals and all sorts of other legal issues which could mean this goes on for much longer.
What could happen though is with more and more highest profile clubs falling foul of financial regulations imposed by leagues and governing bodies across the wider format of the game. the biggest clubs will seek another venture "Super League" style like we seen a few years back.

The Super League is completely dead and so is anything like it. They know they can't do it again because players would get banned from international tournaments.

Football finance expert Kieran Maguire said before that if they were found guilty, then there would have to be extremely serious sanctions.
These include forcing the board of Directors to resign, as happened with Juventus.

This is the big issue. Everton were fined £35m because after they were found to broke the rules, Burnley brought a case against them because they lost out on money unfairly.
But with City it's situations like that over many years.
For a start you will have every team who finished just outside the Champions League places in each season they broke the rules, saying that they lost out on significant European money.
Personally I think it has to be expulsion from the Premier League and likely further cases being brought against them from other clubs.

Exactly this. It's obvious when Pep left with another year still left on his contract, it was because he could see this happening.

Tan loves a court case, we’d have stayed in the premier league last time we were there, and lost twice to them, as the losses demoralised us

Be very suprised if city get expelled from PL, itll probably be 6 points deducted, & a few million quid fine, im sure the fa will do everything in there power to lose 1 of the big boys, so corrupt!

I don't think the Premier League would have taken it this far if they weren't going to go in on heavy.
Got nothing to do with the FA, they have no jurisdiction here because it's Premier League charges.

If you completely remove Man City from the last 15 years, all their results the premier league wins would change a lot!!!
PREMIER LEAGUE TITLES – LAST 15 SEASONS
-------------------------------------------------------
Liverpool 2 would’ve been 5 Diff +3
Man United 1 would’ve been 4 Diff +3
Arsenal 1 would’ve been 3 Diff +2
Chelsea 2 would’ve been 2 Diff 0
Leicester City 1 would’ve been 1 Diff 0
Man City 8 would’ve been 0 Diff -8

I hope they throw the (proverbial) book at them, sooner rather than later, to send a message, but (sadly) the Citeh owners are rich enough to tie any sanctions up in Court for years to come

One point to make is that Manchester City can't take this to CaS.
It's a domestic issue so the Court of Arbitration for Sport can't get involved.
Basically the appeal can only be heard by another independent panel in the UK.

Hope they don't!!! Liverpool , Man U , Spurs and Arsenal will love it. They want to be the elite don't let anyone in. If Tan sold to Musk and he put his money in bluebirds we would never become elite. Start realising it is all for the big clubs fair play !!!

Now being reported that Premier League clubs are planning legal action against Manchester City over loss of income.

Get what you're saying but Man City have been found guilty of 114 violations. That's not alright.
I want the playing field to be leveled, but not by breaking the rules.
I hope they get the harshest punishment possible.

£20m so far its cost premier league and they were debating that cost! So could have a problem financing further litigation if man c choose to appeal every decision ... of course this decision could open door for clubs to sue ... can think of at least two owners who would love to sue someone..... this as the potential to be a very messy affair and costly to premier league and man c!

I’m of an age where honesty, integrity, and accountability meant something, so I simply want
any club who cheat and deceive to have their comeuppance. This time, it’s Citeh, but I’m sure others will now be looking over their shoulders
