BUT The Police say the incident has been investigated and No further action / BUT THE FA HAVE CHARGED KRYSTIAN BIELIK


The player has apologised to the young fan and no further action will be taken say the Police.

Plus Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said an out-of-court disposal has subsequently been agreed between the supporter and Bielik.


Video footage of the incident later appeared shows Bielik had made contact with the supporter's neck during the flare-up, and he has now been charged by the FA for his role in the incident.







Cardiff City defender Krystian Bielik has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association following his incident with a Portsmouth fan.

"Krystian Bielik has until 25 September to provide a response."



In a statement, the FA said: "Cardiff City's Krystian Bielik has been charged with misconduct following the EFL
Championship game against Portsmouth on 5 September. It's alleged that the player acted in an improper manner around the 71st minute of the match.

Mandatory three match ban I reckon. Just surprised it's taken this long, maybe they were waiting for the police investigation to be over.

As said above, at least Fish and Lawlor are back.

The FA being ‘seen to have done something’ again, and it will likely lead to a short ban to set an example

I have maintained that it was a storm in a teacup and I stand by that. The police appear to have backed that up following an apology to the boy from the player

Let it go, and worry about getting their own house in order with their garbage referees and even worse (Premier League) VAR assistants, who are ruining games and costing points!

Reading what policce say it appears that both parties dropped any action fans because it would lead to banning order and beliek makes him look good for fa! Maybe looking at 3 match ban with another 3 suspended depending on refs report.

As a player you can't put your hands on a fan in any way shape or form so all this "it was only a brush" and "I await the FA to charge the fan who threw a ball" crap is so ridiculous. If it was one of our fans & a Portsmouth player involved we would all be up in arms wanting the harshest sentence possible.

It was always going to happen & now we just need to suck it up & await the FAs decision which I would think (& hope) will be a 3 match ban and a fine which would be the minimum punishment I would expect.

Annis not sure what fa charged him with is as serious a charge as it could have been ... but still least got cover now!

It's not losing the plot, it's requesting to be treated fairly and equally.

That Pompey fan committed a greater assault on NG in my opinion, so the FA should also be punishing Portsmouth.

Otherwise, it's a lack of consistency and the FA are showing they are favouring Portsmouth and they have an agenda against us.

I'm just glad the club didn't give him our own suspension as was suggested at least we are now in a position to cover his absence

With balls ready to use if they've gone into the crowd etc its a learning curve not to go anywhere near a fan and use the spare ball every time , watch everyone moan were wasting time

He put his hands on the kid first, let's not try making it the kids fault even if he was wrong. All fans throw the ball away from the opposition players unless there's a good opportunity to wind them up but that's the game, always has been & always will. As a player you cannot put your hands (or feet) on a fan no matter the provocation, end of story.
