Three week break - good or bad?

We now head into a sort of mini pre-season with our next game at Blackburn not until October 10th in three weeks.

Is it good or bad for us?

I would say the positive to it is it will allow more players to get their fitness back. Rubin, Fish, Davies and Lawlor should be back to full fitness by then. Would just leave Chambers as the long term absentee.

On the flip side, we have just won our first game of the season so there's a chance we don't get the momentum we could have got from that.

Also worth pointing out that the following First Team players will be away with their countries for international games so won't be training with us:


Moylan
Bagan
Robertson
Ashford
J Colwill
Kpakio


On balance, I'd say it's a good thing because we can get more players back available.

Ive gone a bit of both

Good because players have a break now and gives injured players chance to get in training

Bad because
1. we finally got the result we deserved and we could lose that momentum after the break and
2. some of our key players could get injured on international duty

But I'm leaning more towards good

On a side note I seen BBM yesterday down Roath park his daughter was doing laps and he was timing her

So i think he's missing training already

As to injuries we seem to get most of them in training anyway.



The Squad should not be this small and there for would be ok.

For me 100% good, we've a small squad which after the break will have to go 3 months until it can be strengthened. (if it happens) The rest for most of them is vital and will help from burn out.

Good. Gives rest for our limited squad and a chance for the ones coming back from injury to get some extra training and fitness under their belt ready for the restart.

I’ve voted good because of our small squad,injuries and not on the best of runs either.

Good. Start again in 3 weeks with a full squad. I get the momentum argument but we've won a game at the end of the day no matter how well we've played

Brilliant that the players were getting tired; good to rest the team, bar the players away and get the injured players back or closer to coming back, so missing fewer games.

Add to that finishing on a strong win, with players confident and saying they will batter a few teams when things come together.

I've never seen NG so confident and looking forward to the future games.

Bit of both. Players need a rest with the squad being so small. Hopefully Salech will be ok by the time the new game comes around.

Bad as we've just won and would be confident going into the next game, and we also have a few players on International duty which can be a worry if they pick up an injury.

Good in the main, as it gives the squad time to boost its numbers, and as we know, BBM’s squad is interchangeable when required, knows its own identity, and executes it quite well, despite some disappointing results at the start of the season

Good so we can get our 2 best CB back - Bad that we just won our 1st league game

Funny how 31000 people didnt have a problem getting there on a Monday night for the wrexham game and will be able to get to the west ham game on a wednesday night , in my opinion its just excuses people can get there if they really want

Next one will be when we play West Ham on a midweek night, guaranteed there will be 25k at least for that.
