DO NOT Underestimate Charlton :


Our next 3 games …Charlton , Blackburn and Watford are all winnable (before we get to harder opposition) . I expect us to get a minimum of 4 points (perhaps I should have said hope for).


Of the 3 ….Charlton will be the mire difficult.


Many CCFC fans are underestimating Charlton …..so are the bookies . I do not agree at all with this .


In Skipp and Coventry they have two good quality solid midfielders …..we will do well to win this battle.


In Campbell and Grant (who played for us) they have two good quality wingers who will ask many questions from our defenders .


Their captain and center half - Jones - is a solid defender , but also he is a good leader and motivator …on the pitch .



In Miles Leaburn they have a big 6’6” lump up front - who does not score many goals but by jolly he is a handful . He should not be allowed to win headers and create openings for his teammates .



Overall , Charlton will be compact , very well organized and hard to beat .


Their manager Nathan Jones is a good quality mad hatter , who will have them highly motivated for this game. We need to break them down and attack with confidence . I believe that we have the players to do it …..but we need to be at our best individually .



Charlton will be our first scalp ! …. I am hoping .

Bluebird or not; Nathan Jones will only have eyes for a Charlton win for 90 minutes on Sky TV this Saturday lunchtime

Up to us to get our own house in order, and I believe we can do it!

They will try and catch us on the counter and unless we get an early goal the more cagey it’ll get.

Expect us to dominate like at Bolton, hopefully we can get a finish even if it comes off the ass of a seagul flying over and in off the post

After a great start, they've drawn three and lost one in their last four games. They lost 4-0 to Charlton, who we outplayed.

I have hope this will be our first win, but it's all about taking the chances we will inevitably create as we have done so far.

Bad mistake from me

It would be pretty impressive if they lost 4-0 to themselves, only we could do that

I dont think anyone under estimates any team in the Championship. Charlton are nothing special but can certainly beat us. First goal is crucial.
