With 22 goals last season and a senior first-team debut already under his belt, this lad is an absolute nightmare for defenders

Personally I would be putting him in our match day squads and on the bench. We can’t do any worse.

Jack Sykes joined Cardiff City FC's Academy at U14 level.

A talented striker, he was a key part in our U17s reaching the PDL Trophy Final in the 2024/25 season.

He also found the net at Cardiff City Stadium in May 2024 in the EFL Floodlit Cup Final whilst representing our U15s. The young Bluebirds won the Final 2-1 against Burton Albion.

Sykes made his First Team debut in a Vertu Trophy clash with Arsenal U21 in November 2025, coming on as a second half substitute.

Totally agree,in fact anyone who is an outfielder.

He looked brilliant on the last u21 game I saw highlights of. Goals and assists. Get him on the bench especially rather than two keepers

Why can Arsenal and Everton have teenagers playing in the first team and we cannot. If he is good enough he should be on the bench.

In fairness we have one of the youngest teams around. But definitely better than two keepers

Any idea why jack was not in the under 21 squad against Sheffield United the other day ?
