BBM INJURY UPDATE:

UPDATED:

Providing an injury update on the First Team squad, BBM:

“Isaak Davies will be out for longer than we thought, looking at October another 3 weeks.”

“Dylan Lawlor is making really good progress. Saturday will come too soon for him.”

“Maybe if a full week of training next week, we could maybe see him soon.”

“Will Fish is slightly behind Dylan and looking at October.

“Calum Chambers is still not close to returning. He has ongoing knee, neck and back issues so his is more complicated. “

“Rubin [Colwill] wasn’t fit for Tuesday based on some slight irritation with his ankle, so we can’t take any chances with him.”

Rubin Colwill and Isaak Davies to be assessed Friday morning

ITS PAY ON THE DAY FOR BOTH SETS OF FANS

Barry-Murphy said Chambers is in the same bracket as Dylan Lawlor and Will Fish, adding: "He won't be available for Tuesday and it's a bit more complicated because of his injury.”

Chambers won’t be back this September, maybe after.

Isaak Davies injured once again, a hamstring injury.

They were last in the Championship in 2019 and haven't been in the Premier League since 2012.

Rubin Colwill injury update

Brian Barry-Murphy has explained why Rubin Colwill missed Cardiff City's draw with Stoke.

The midfielder's ankle was still not right and he didn't train on Monday, with BBM considering putting him on the bench before deciding it wasn't worth the risk.

Barry-Murphy says he wants to give Rubin more time to train later this week, with Thursday or Friday pencilled in before potentially being available for Saturday.

“We’ll try and give him some more time to train… and then be available for Saturday.”

Wanderers welcome Cardiff City to the Toughsheet Community Stadium on Saturday lunchtime, and Steven Schumacher likes what he is seeing from his side.

"The lads are doing really well, they’re playing extremely well, they’re competing with top teams," the manager said after Tuesday night’s 3-2 meeting with West Ham United. "I don’t think we’ve deserved to lose any of the four games that we have done."

A West Ham side that played Premier League football last season needed three goals to win at the Toughsheet.

"We have just gone toe-to-toe with a Premier League team last year and we were in League One," Schumacher said.

There is young talent pushing through as well. Kyliane Dong impressed again on Tuesday and the manager has watched him grow into the level week by week.

"I thought young Kyliane was brilliant," he said. "He’s been getting stronger and stronger as the weeks have gone by."

Cardiff City arrive on the same four points as Wanderers, two places above us in the table. Two sides who will both fancy this one.

Kick-off is 12:30, and there is a full morning at the stadium before it. The Dreams 2 Reality Fan Zone opens at 10:00 with three bars, five food vendors, a game zone and an enclosed pitch for the kids. The Lion of Vienna Suite also opens at 10:00, with Nathan Blake in for a Q&A, and there is live music after the final whistle.

People laughed at my BBM out comment the other week. Seems like most are in agreement now. A huge 6 pointer here, could be his last game for us

Bolton Wanderers welcome Cardiff City on Saturday (12:30 BST) for a Championship clash between two sides promoted from League One last season.

The Trotters have won just one of their first six games (D1 L4) - on the opening day against Preston - while the Bluebirds are still yet to pick up a victory (D4 L2).

Both are on four points and battling near the bottom of the table in the early stages of the campaign with Bolton 21st and Cardiff 20th.

While it is perhaps too early to label this encounter a relegation six-pointer, a win would provide a major boost against a potential rival for the drop.

Bolton have won 13 of their past 14 home league meetings with Cardiff City, with the exception a 2-3 defeat in 2015-16.

Cardiff have won four of their previous six league games against Bolton Wanderers (L2), as many as their previous 19 beforehand (W4 D2 L13).

Bolton have lost each of their past four league games, last losing five on the bounce in February 2020.

Cardiff are looking to avoid suffering three successive away league defeats for the first time since August 2024, and first time within a single season since February 2023.

Cardiff have had more shots than any other side in the Championship this season (104), although 12 sides have scored more goals than the Bluebirds (7). Indeed, only Lincoln City have a lower shot conversion rate (5.7%) than Cardiff (6.7%) in the competition this term.

Somebody is going to get a hiding sooner or later from us although on the other hand we cost ourselves goals with mess ups, mistakes or get caught in the middle with massive holes and that's the difference in championship players less chances wasted. It has to come at some point, gone for a City win so they have to show up away like at home as Bolton have been awful so far :bluescarf:

First win of league play is coming. On paper, they should breakthrough here. I know it's early, but this really does feel like a must-win game, here. Can't lose to Bolton, who is below you in the standings. :bluebird:

Absolutely Not:

Just spoke to My Bolton Friend Tony Reardon of 26 yrs who is a Season Ticket Holder and his sons and grandchildren.

I asked him how do you think you will do v Us today, Win or draw , “ NOT A CHANCE “ he said.

We have been absolutely awful and everyone has given up.

“We will lose again today” Tony said

I said you played well v the Hammers: Tony Replied “Everyone raises their game against the big guns”

An early goal for us would provide a good platform to get our first win today. I appreciate we are away, but moving the ball into the box a little quicker upfront would put the Bolton defence under pressure in a similar way to which others have done to us in recent games

No prediction from me, but I’m hopeful of the team doing the job today :ayatollah: :bluebird:
