Mark Robins accuses the media of lazy journalism

Wed Sep 09, 2026 9:12 am

Accused of "lazy journalism" by Mark Robins for pointing out Stoke had not won away since January 4. Apparently, they had "about 15 injuries" at end of last season.

Maybe he didn't hear Stoke fans singing after going 1-0 up: "How shit are you? We're winning away."

Stoke have been so bad away many feel Robins has over stayed his time.

Wow I’ve just looked I knew Stoke were bad away from home, but probably the worst side in the Championship going back to January this year.

In the Championship Stokes last 10 Away Games before last night at CCS

Played 10 Away Lost 10 Away

W 0 / D 0 / L 10

So after last night

Stoke have got 1pt away out of 33pts

Robins is lucky to still have his job.

That’s even more worrying for us, forget Stoke,if we can’t beat them as it seems everyone else does, what happens when we play the better teams?

55 shots in our last 2 home games, unheard of at this level but only 2 points to come from it.
Not ideal, should’ve easily won that last night, we go again Saturday and has to be a win for City, has to be.

It's pure luck and some good saves; we battered them. It could have easily been five.

The one we scored would have been enough if we didn't keep shooting ourselves in the foot at the back every game.
