Assuming that when the Club examine the facts ….as they 100% should …they find that Beilik’s action was really bad ….then they are best advised to not play him tonight as well as fine him the maximum allowed two weeks wages .
If they do the FA disciplinary will take such an action to be very positive and be less harsh on the Club . Also if Beilik is banned from playing ….this suspension will count .
If the Club take a stupid and irresponsible stand by claiming ….they will wait for the FA to investigate …the FA action will be worse .
The Club should be seen as being responsible .
To me it appears that Beilik is definitely guilty and will face some kind of a ban .

Can absolutely see the logic of this - get ahead of the story, impose our punishment and take the sting out of the FA/EFL action.
Don't think the club/BBM line of 'leave it to the ref's report' and 'protection of the players is our first priority' is a remotely plausible option here.
Will they do it?
I would be astonished if they did - we don't seem to have the nous or awareness of the situation.

Why would we, if we believe our player has little to answer for?
I may be wrong, in which case I apologise, but I believe the OP was a view in the media, rather than Annis’ personal view? I’m sure I read similar somewhere in the last day or so?
I understand (from your posts) you want ‘the worse’ to happen, but as I have maintained, the more (and deeper) you look into the video available, the less serious it looks; more hand to shoulder than anywhere near a grip of the neck!
Opinions are fine, but we should all get behind our player tonight, assuming he plays, and let the appropriate authorities (not a lynch mob) make the proper analysis on what occurred

Fair enough, not sure whose comments they are, but in any case I tend to look at WHAT was posted and comment accordingly, rather than see WHO posted it and just agree/disagree depending on whether I like them or not.

Yes beilik shouldn't have reacted and he will be punished accordingly but the way people have gone on you would of thought he pulled out a baseball bat and beat the kid to death

My post above was before I saw Sven's post above that - just for clarity.
