442

Surely I cannot be watching Manchester United, with all their talent, play 442?

They don't have a natural "6" so they play with 2 CM's......Is this allowed ?

When they attack, they make the pitch wide; then, when they defend, they defend narrow in the most obvious 442 ever.

Everything has a cycle; I am glad because i understand this one :D

Sheffield and Portsmouth played with two upfront against us i believe... so are others doing the same except us of course!

Robertson is a very effective player, but he is not a DCM. He needs a partner to notice that when one goes, the other stays. Its probably Joel rather than his brother. Turnbull's lack of mobility is the reason we can't use him there.

Salech with moylan playing as a second striker is worth a go , salech is so isolated up top on his own no wonder hes looked so poor and frustrated the last few games

I'd love to see us play a genuine 442 system. But I think there's a stronger chance of me being involved in the next moon landing than that happening with BBM.

Who was the manager who was forced to make a formation change due to injuries and circumstances, and we went on a superb run that was as pleasing on the eye as it was to see the change as it was from watching his boring formation?

Steve Morison possibly? I stand to be corrected, if it was someone else :ayatollah:

Sven - I honestly cannot remember. Certainly wasn't Big Mick. Might've been Neil Harris?

We went on a great run under Big Mick that's why he got the contract extension then the club let contracts expire and wouldn't sign anyone in the summer,he refused to change formation and we where shit again. Think we had wingbacks?

I seem to remember Big Mick playing 6 centre backs away to the Jacks! That was fun.
