WHO IS TO BLAME FOR NO TRANSFERS ?

Sat Sep 05, 2026 8:14 pm

Some say like me it's Tan others say murphy,
has anyone taken the blame for no incoming recruits,
unless i have missed something i have not heard BBM say i did not want any new recruits but I have not heard him explain "why " we did not bring in anyone in .
We have not heard anything from the board above ,
so who is at fault for our predicament of no transfers or loans ?

While every club in this division has recruited even lincoln pulled in 7 players, we got moylan and a panic signing with our centre back crisis .
Swansea are top for a reason investment,
wrexham investment,
cardiff ?

We may have to hold back on the songs" we are your capital"
and "we are coming for you".

There's no way bbm didnt want more players in my opinion

Hes just saying what hes been told to say , no manager in there right mind would want a weaker squad than the Season before when they've just gone up to a higher league

Who is showing ambition?

The junta haven't just missed a trick but the whole magic show in totally ignoring the feelgood factor from last year.

They have signed a manager in BBM in whom they do not trust. Why? Because BBM knew his targets, and those numpties and clowns go chasing players HE DOES NOT WANT.

I'm glad BBM is sticking to his guns and telling the board to stick their uneducated thoughts on players where the sun dont shine.

BBM showed his ambition and worth last year. He wants to and one day will manage in the Premier.

This is not just about not strengthening. Its about the negative influence on and around the club that a lack of ambition shows..

I think BBM is clearly disillusioned by the ambition of the board and its filtering through to the players.

If things co ntinue as they well might, BBM will be dismissed through no fault of his own.

To leave us with a worse, smaller squad than last year is criminal. To say this is ambition is the biggest joke of all.

Tan Out Choo out Dalman out and Nash out.

BBM has been BADLY let down. He is being hung out to dry by the smiling deadly assassins that run our club.

Murphy. As he has said as much.
If it’s not him he’s lying to us all and that makes him as bad as tan, so I wouldn’t want him here either if he thinks that little of us.
But he’s openly said he is fussy and won’t sign just anyone. Until there’s is evidence to the contrary he was responsible for the signings or lack of them.

only one person to blame and that is TAN he hasn't backed BBM who clearly wanted a couple of signings I hope we can get a couple of free transfers in we need another striker and also a winger TAN NEEDS TO DECIDE EITHER BACK OUR MANAGER OR SELL OUR CLUB NOW !!!

Hasn’t this question been asked before (more than once)???? :?

We really need to concentrate on what’s coming is such depth, not what’s gone and we can’t change

Two lost games in a week have seen a surreal change in the mood on this Forum, even though most knew this season was never going to be easy

I’m hurting after today, although I thought Millwall was the poorer game for us, but I’m going to keep faith with BBM and his team, whilst they adjust to the Championship

If it's BBM fault then why has he put 2 keepers on the bench TWICE?? He could easily put one of the U21 players there but he's obviously proving a point to the useless people we have running our club.

I 100% agree with you a manager always wants more and BBM has stated time and time again he wanted 3 more and even named the positions.

The club only got themselves to blame for the change in mood. Everyone was happy after the sheff utd performance, we all thought 3/4 new players now will set us up nicely for a competitive season. Mid table would have done us nicely. The lack of transfers has just baffled and pissed off the majority of the fan base. Everyone knew, including the manager, that we needed to add to the squad. It genuinely makes me angry towards the club how badly we are being run.

For the avoidance of doubt, I have total faith in BBM. I believe he is a breathe of fresh air.

I also believe that yes, he has been lying to a point. Defending his employers and shielding them from critisicm.

I'm of the opinion though that this is what 'between a rock and a hard place' looks like. BBM is one of the 1st managers to stare down The evil Dictator. Its not nice for fans, but we bave been calling for The dictator to keep his grubby little nose out of team affairs for years.

The dictator knows that BBM is a bit of a hero and he cant sack him for fear of a revolution.

Good for you Brian, but humouring the clowns might at least of given us depth while the injuries subside

Re: WHO IS TO BLAME FOR NO TRANSFERS ?

BBM was probably quite specific in what he needed, but then that's what the other 91 clubs do as well. I doubt he would say he hasn't been backed or the club messed up - that wouldn't really be right vibe having just kicked off a long season. He's not happy, I don't think the players are happy looking forward, and they're all going to get a lot less happy as the weeks go on..

I think you missing my point. He’s openly said it’s his fault, so if it isn’t then that makes him a liar, which means he’s lied to us all which doesn’t sit well with me with the amount of support he has from fans. I hope it is the fact no one that was available was good enough for him, other wise Tan. Lier, the other 2 are liars and Murphy would be a liar with them if Tan didn’t back him.

Wae are all hurting but yes the question has been asked, but we are yet to have the answer nobody's has answered "WHY" we did not bring anyone at the end of the window it needs to be answered and should be not smoke and mirrors the fans deserve that .

But Murphy said it was his responsibility so he’s to blame is he not? How do you know tan didn’t offer everything he promised?

Re: WHO IS TO BLAME FOR NO TRANSFERS ?

I thought we would attract a lot of high-quality Premier League loans due to BBM's reputation for developing players and the style of play, and it seemed like the perfect club for a loan.

It just occurred to me that the bookies and most pundits had us near the bottom end of the league, maybe a relegation team; could that have made clubs reconsider sending top talent here, not wanting them in a Championship struggle?

I thought we would be comfortably in the top half myself, and that players like Rubin, Salech, and Ashford would kick on, but if anything, it's the opposite for Salech at the moment.

I don’t know no one does. But Murphy said he over fussy, and he definitely very stubborn and unwilling or unable to adapt to changing situations.
He a massive part of why we didn’t sign much.

It may well e he has zero reputation as a manager and know one wants to send their players here. It says a lot that the guy with connections at big clubs got zero from them this season. Maybe he just good and development and getting player to reach they full potential. Manager a whole team and adapting is a whole new ball game for him.

I don’t disagree with most of that, but it’s gone, it’s been flogged to death, and we need to move on to support those who are here at the club. It can’t be great for them to read how negatively they are now perceived so constantly

Stoke is a massive game now, one many thought would be ‘easy’ just like the Pompey game, but their result against Charlton suggests another tough game at a ground where we don’t traditionally do too well

I understand the bitterness towards Tan et al, but not BBM. It’s time to move on for the sake of the club and the players! :ayatollah:

Or, he’s simply been misled? The (apparent) disappearance of Kenneth Choo on a poorly timed ‘holiday’ points to a lack of seriousness to get the job done, and might explain some of BBM’s ‘I hope to have in’ comments?

I seriously don’t believe BBM misled us during the transfer window, and he was clear with his ‘must fit the profile’ assertions from day one of his tenure :ayatollah:

I am not blaming BBM you know where i am coming from but just saying forget it sweep it under the carpet is disingenuous to all the fans who turn up week after week,
they want to be heard not silenced .

Tan choo dalman need to make a statement about why no players where brought in and asking BBM to say it was all his fault is shocking.
We all want to get behind the team and there is no reflection on the players themselves ,but this is unprecedented and could bugger up our whole season,
to bring in no players when we are short on numbers and positions (striker) etc is unbelievable, i was dumbfounded and waited till 11pm to find no new recruits, and that same saying we have to go with what we have got in my head yet again ,it's time for answers not brushed aside imo .

Monty absolutely right , most of us want answers as to why the club is being run like a shit dump ,
Where is the owners ??? Where ????? Where’s our answers as to why no players have come in apart f*cking 2 .
Why is there a shit feeling at the club AGAIN , we want to know what’s going on with our club , we pay for season tickets , we pay to support our team but get left in the dark . It’s bloody scandalous how the fans are treated , and also the players and the manager are treated . Shambles . f**k offfffff
