THE WAY I SEE IT

Fri Sep 04, 2026 11:16 am

Before i start i except fully we are where we are nothing changes now till January so all we can do now is give as much support as we can to the team and manager that's what I will be doing
Home & Away.

BBM has said right upto the last days of tge window players where coming in ,and I believe he had his list, how long that list was we don't know .

I am sure he was looking forward to getting his new additions in to start the season with no question about this.

Its the other part of this story which is baffling most fans " WHY" is the biggest question that nobody came in at the end of the window,

forgetting moylan and Bielik although I know Bbm had looked at this guy he probably looked at many but his hand was forced to sign him due to our lack of centre backs and, playing a 15 year old made this more urgent.

This all has to be down to Mr Tan Mr choo ,we have been told there was no phone calls between
BBM & Tan on the last day of the transfer,
which is probably true if bbm said it was,
but he did not say there where not conversation on the phone before the last day of the window and this is where I think things have gone tits up .

Bbm in my book is been very diplomatic in his wordings saying
" he" did not bring anyone in,
but the players he wanted where not coming so he did not bring in i suggest others,
which may have been pushed towards him this is what i think has happened .
What he wanted the money was not available in full or the terms where not done in full all the players he wanted pulled out and bbm was left not with his chosen choice off his list and maybe lost it a bit and has said f.ck it I will manage with what I got,
I don' t want what Tan & choo are forcing on me i will go with what I got.

I really think this is what has happened not bbms fault he did not get 1 player in off his list ,my only criticism if there is one is he surely had 2/3strikers midfielders backs etc on his list why he never went to the next on his list tells me there was trouble behind the scenes and this is why we have ended up where we are.

This i am sure will come out at some point,
but BBM is not going to come out and say it was down to Mr Tan & Mr choo fault,
but it looks pretty obvious to me BBM loves it here and I am sure he was looking forward to giving it a go with his new recruits he had earmarked but they have not got them over the line and have let him down.

We should have signed more. January is a shit-expensive window. I think we will be alright and surprise a lot of our own more negative fans, but we should have signed or loaned another two or three; injuries will cause us problems in certain positions.

Once we see mafico on the pitch who was going to be loaned out we know we are short after eli king has been moved on.

Chris I know people will say this negative but I think it’s gona be a disaster this season now , it’s suicidal not strengthening this team in championship , we are struggling already , and also some of the players are way off it . I will be shocked if we stay up this season

That's such a sad view after we chatted after the Wrexham game i think a lot of fans feel the same way though, worried about injuries players not at it and with a small squad options are very limited ,

plus burn out, you do not have the luxury of rotation with a small squad or to change it up if needed .
3 or 4 was all we needed quality players ,its a kick in the guts and it hurts ,what hurts more is where is the leader ship from above where is dalman his yacht must have sunk with him on it,
not heard a peep from any of them.

I have us down for a win Saturday richy sbd the lads will get behind the team especially the away supporters.

Thought he was very poor on Wednesday and do have concerns regarding his link up play, but he has scored 4 this season already

Look I'm totally in agreement that we needed more players and it's probably going to be a tough old season without adding at least a couple. Personally I don't see January being much different the budget is obviously tight, it'll be more of the same us getting one or two maybe and the board in meltdown for the month. Regarding phone calls and who did what I don't know and neither does anyone else, it's total conjecture. I read a few days ago on here can't remember who said it so apologies the hierarchy should have come out and said look we are going to run a very tight budget, instead they left a complete information vaccum, that's the biggest issue.

Agree Monty, defo needed a striker and a winger in, not sure who’s to blame and we won’t know the exact honest truth to be fair.

My concern is tanner as a winger until January. He can’t cross for shit and half the time doesn’t look interested.

Hope salech gets firing this weekend. He has all attributes to be top class.

Your the 3rd person that said tanner looks disinterested I suppose if you observe 1 player intently and you can see more than others i know that can miss getting past his man a lot and hits wayward passes but it gas to be balanced he can on his day be wicked he dropped a cross on Ashford head perfect but he headed it miles off and he has a great shot on him lets just hope he has better days ahead.

And thank the lord for that!

The transfer window is done and dusted.

We all wanted a few more players, it didn’t happen so let’s get on with the football. That’s my personal view.

I used to watch Chris Waddle a lot some years ago. He had the same demeanour as Tanner (obviously a much better player) but don’t you think if he wasn’t interested the manager would know?

Do you think BBM would play him virtually every game?

Whether you like him or not is a different matter.

Agree with Salech he needs to man up and start putting himself about a bit more. We need him now especially.

I don't get the hate for Tanner, his stats say the opposite of what most people seem to think. He's not going to beat his man every time, nobody does, but that's what people seem to expect from him for some reason.

As for Salech, I've been beating that drum since he came back, he's lost his aggression and just doesn't get stuck in like he used to before his injury, now it's all sly shirt pulls & waiting for the ball to come to his feet. I would say he's at 75% of where he was prior to his injury & we definitely needed some back up/competition for him. Giving CR 1 minute plus any added time to change the game is way too late but BBM seems very reluctant to pull Salech off when he' having a bad day.

Agree about Tanner. He gets unfair criticism. He’s one of the only ones that tried to create something. Like you said, he’s going to lose the ball every so often and have a bad game like the rest of the players but he doesn’t deserve half the stick he gets

Good post and I’m the same regarding Tanner. He seems to be first on the team sheet and rarely gets subbed.

I’d have him over Willock, Davies, Ashford or anyone else we have who can play on the wing at the moment.

The stats and many in the media had him as the Man of the Match last weekend :ayatollah:

A bit if a non-thread really, as we are where we are!

Chris some really good points have been made here from the fellow bluebirds , and especially from starving Marvin about the vacuum of transparency of Information which has left us all guessing as to what the f**k is going on , but now we know and it isn’t a good picture to be fair , professional ? No we are a laughing stock again , and Swansea and Wrexham are laughing their f*cking heads off at us
