Better than signing players for the sake of it. I wanted another striker and winger but not if we couldn't get the main targets.

We could have made panic signings and ended up with another Etete.

BBM had 4 months to get quality on, not just yesterday, so there would never be a panic buy.

I'd go as far as to say 6 months, we knew we were up just about in March and the planning for a striker and a winger with pace should have started then.

By found out you mean we where banging goals in like a 70s Brazil team.

Deeply disappointed by yesterday we needed players didn't get them, the manager even said we needed more bodies but I'm not having the Salech replacement bit, people banged on about it and we cruised up and scored a silly amount of goals on our way there so no we didn't need a replacement

Wherever the blame lies, BBM has to live with it until the January transfer window.

Only he will know whether he is satisfied with current squad but I suspect at the very least he knows we are only one or two injuries away from having serious on-field issues.

I think he'll be extremely cautious as he always is with interviews, the interesting thing will be if he shoulders the blame. I don't expect him to attack the board but it'll be telling if he's not defending them

I was one who worried about the size of our squad and happily admitted i was wrong on this forum, when we lost Salech things weren't great for a while but we had probably already done enough to go up plus Kellyman upped his input. The championship is a totally different animal and we have a smaller squad than last season.

Yes but there are less games.

No Vertu Trophy, don't enter FA Cup until January and remember we had no goalkeeper on the bench last season to fit in more outfield players.

Watching players for months is not the same as being in talks for months.
