Eli King leaving permanently

Eli King will sign on a permanent transfer to Gillingham before the deadline.

The question for me is why did we give him a new contract when he was out all season now send him out yet we are putting a 15 year in a cup game and two goalkeepers on the bloody bench in a league game.

This was initially reported as a loan deal, but it will actually be a permanent transfer.

Surprised about this one unless he's a million miles off.

Maybe the way Ruban has played from deep has given BBM an other option for that 6 role.

Personally I don't agree with this decision. I would have given him a loan and then see how he does.

He looked good in the pre-season last year before his injury.

Unfortunately, he missed his chance at Cardiff by getting that bad injury last year, after we dropped to League one.
It was unlikely he would get much match time now we have returned to the Championship.
I hope he makes a great impression at Gillingham.
