Pros and Cons of this transfer window

Cons: Small squad, injuries, lack of competition for places to keep players hungry for the shirt, deflation for fans expectations, dwindling crowds as a result of feel good factor evaporating, potential struggle ahead.


Pros: ermmmm........well there are a couple! Firstly Tank and Perrett and others will be chucked in the deep end on occasion, and the Championship will be a good measure of their potential, and Etete has gone to Newport!

Pros:

Moylan adds genuine quality.

Bielek gives us a different type of defender and can also play in the six role.

Crucial getting Trott back.

We have cover at LB unlike the first half of last season, thanks to Scanlon coming back.

No key players sold.

Cons

Definitely a lack of depth when it comes to striker. Robinson not what he was and Davies not played there often.

Could have done with an additional winger.

Not much depth at right back, given that Kpakio isn't ready.

Unless we play Bielik there, no natural number six so Robertson has to learn to do it over the season. Played there for Man City academy but obviously Championship is a totally different standard.

Tend to agree with this Ned. Obviously disappointment tinged my original post. Could have kicked on a bit this season, but like you I don't think we will go down, though it might be a disappointing season from what it could have been. Like another poster put on another thread, I think Tan is getting ready to sell up, as he is cutting the wage bill to the bone. Like the other poster said, it's what businesses do when they are looking to sell. Any potential buyer would be attracted by a low initial wage bill. Lets hope so anyway.
