TAN OUT

Tue Sep 01, 2026 6:40 pm

Its so sad that I am posting this after such an amazing year last year and also so early into what could be a promising season.

The post wont sit well with some, but I say it as I see it, and recognise opinions. This is mine.

Firstly rumours are rumours I get that. These 'rumours' however have persisted for a long time, and the club has done nothing to suggest the rumours are not true. My take? Theres no smoke without fire and its been hanging round the club like a bad smell for years.

The last, I dont know how many transfer windows have left supporters demoralised.

Even online outlets who usually dont criticise Tan and Choo are calling this window 'disgraceful'.

Glen Williams is struggling to comprehend the owners actions.

The owner never attends games, it is rumoured heavily that, and I quote from an online outlet (since deleted) that it is terrible that the CEO is forcing players on BBM rarher than try and get the playrrs BBM has identified.

Had we not had an injury crisis we would not have seen Scanlon or Bielik.

Scanlon, as good a player as he is, for me is a lazy signing by the board brought about by an outcry from supporters over lack of cover.

How much ambition is the board showing?

Rumours of £7m bids for Hjerto Dahl must have come from somewhere. Glen Williams picked it up, but one wonders what the club fed him to keep supporters happy.

Tan has not shown that he wants the club to succeed with his lack of action or ambition.

Our cousins out West are pouring quality into their team as we look on with owners who dont care.

Tan keeps the club alive?? Say it quietly, but all other Chairmen do the same thing, its comes with the territory of owner.

And yet Tan has no desire to sell, and no desire to succeed??

Ken Choo 'why buy when you can promote from within'. Says it all about his football knowledge doesnt it.

Annis mentioned elsewhere on this board that Choo had basically messed up the whole summer. Why? Because he is a part time director, who knows nothing about football, and would prefer sign a deal to sell a car than buy a player.

The junta treat us fans like idiots. Keep us in the dark and feed us s**t.

15 years he has been here. The majority has seen protest after protest. Where is the spirit of the 80's? Tan needs to be gone by hook or by crook.

He has WASTED a feelgood promotion year. Businessman? Dont make me laugh!

TAN OUT OUT OUT.......

If he’s really had enough it’s best for all parties to sell up, just doesn’t seem to make any sense.

We’ve spent so poorly over the years, we’ve fallen unlucky when going down the proven route, the likes of Nicky Maynard, Adam Le Fondre, Isaac Vassel, Robert Glatzel, Josh Murphy, Bobby Reid. All massively underperformed for us in quite dramatic fashion.

https://www.transfermarkt.com/cardiff-c ... verein/603

This season we aren’t far off what we spent in the relegation season, which was massively more than the seasons before relegation.

If we can promote youth and find some gems that can get us a decent fee back, that may be the model they’ve now adopted after trying to bank roll it in his earlier stages. I don’t know how much we have spent on our facilities and youth set up but it’s better than it was when tan took over?

I also want a new owner as soon as possible. Has to be the right owner though, there are reasons I was against Bale's "bid" last summer.

However, I don't know what to believe about why we haven't been able to add to the squad today. There have been reports that players turned us down. That could be true or not and if it is, we don't know why. That's why I'm calmer than others about this.

We will never kick on to the next level with Tan at the helm which is why im so frustrated as this is the perfect opportunity with a brilliant manager and talented youngsters

We need a clear out at the top before last season becomes a distant memory again whilst we slide back in to the negativity of the years before last season

Re: TAN OUT

100% with u on this 1,I have same problem with a family member hate the fucker can't do nothing about it he's just there and lingers around like a bad smell .Tan will sell but when he's ready until then we just sit and wait patiently and support the team ,we all want the club we support to be successful and most of all we want it to be run correctly and to make us feel we are part of it and not kept in the dark .

There are worse owners than Tan. Time is up though and it's clearly time to move on. I believe he's setting up to sell though we've cut to the bone and our 3 biggest earners are out of contract next summer

If Tan wants to remain owner, he has to be serious here and replace members at the top. We definitely need a new CEO, I just don’t see what Choo does that benefits the club. Also, what does Dalman even do?

Re: TAN OUT

Here we go again, everyone is happy when we are winning and the majority of people forget about the clowns in
charge and keep feeding them financially and say "I support the team not Tan". Atleast be consistent as many of us are and refuse to go to the ground until Tan has gone or nothing will ever change. Did people actually expect a load of quality new players? More like, fell for the same bullshit again. BBM will not be here long-term imo. Our only hope is that BBM can work some magic with the players we have or Tan eventually sells. TAN OUT

I agree about BBM not being here long

Re: TAN OUT

This transfer window has genuinely killed the feel good factor around the club again, we were finally on a high again and the board show they dont give 2 f*cks (again)

Some people clearly did expect a load of quality players by the names being mentioned over the past few weeks. As far as voting with your feet fair enough I don't think it'll change a thing Tan will sell when he wants to, I don't think feelings could be anymore clear he won't come to games because he knows the reaction he'll get. Who replaces him whenever that happens is almost completely random and we as fans have basically zero control over it so what else can you do but support your team

Re: TAN OUT

As much as i want Tan out of the club, we just wont rally enough people to be with us....

Unfortunately most of the fan base are happy with emperor tan, and think that us lot who want rid are the problem....
the fan base is so divided, we still have no soul and its all down to the idiot in charge

it breaks my heart seeing the City like this.

I genuinely wish we could all come together and get this absolute tool out of our club

Re: TAN OUT

Tue Sep 01, 2026 9:20 pm

I agree with posters on here, than club is never going to reach the next level or its full potential with Tan in charge.

We as a club are going to be left behind if something doesn’t change. The big clubs in this years Championship are spending more for players than they ever have done before. We’re not moving with the times here and it’s the same story as every summer. Of course I’m not expecting us to go out and 20 million on a striker like Middlesbrough but I feel it’s really worrying the way the club is heading compared to the way The Championship heading in the opposite direction.

I live 90 miles away from Cardiff and used to enjoy travelling up and going to games. However, I’m sick to the back teeth of the same old crap being spun I just sadly don’t enjoy it anymore or have the same excitement I once did. I don’t want to go in that ground anymore whilst he’s still in charge of the club. I hope that in the near future Tan will go and we can have our club back again

How? Unless there's a City fan rich enough to buy him out what can fans possibly do. Tan is well aware he's the most hated man in Cardiff and the fans want him to sell... Also where are all the Tan defenders? I see this all the time. I doubt you can find a single fan that doesn't want Tan to sell

Ned,

Don’t you remember before the season started in league 1 I agreed to virtually hardly talk about Tan.

But I’ve never ever changed my mind on him.

We had the tools for what we needed last season. To keep the momentum going and the feel good factor, we should be building on that this season. Personally on Sat I was optimistic, today right now I'm deflated.

Re: TAN OUT

Tue Sep 01, 2026 9:45 pm

I have been on the fence with Tan, put a huge amount of money into the club and I know it's debt, but it is his debt to himself.

However, this window is sooo frustrating and there is no ambition. We probably needed 4 players to challenge in the playoffs. Now its bottom end of the table as the inevitable injuries bite.

Just tell us what the plan is Mr Tan, be honest and tell the punters what your plan is.

I've said for years that he needs to go, as long as it's to the right person/people.

My point is so many fans forget about it when things are going well. I'm not talking about you because to be fair you're consistent in your comments about wanting him to sell.

why does it have to be a city fan ?
lets be honest the protest was tiny in comparison to our fan base, other clubs have notoriously forced out owners before by showing force....
we have just not shown force
and as far as there are no tan lovers, thats clearly not the case, loads all over twitter loads keep saying better the devil you know etc, theres plenty of them

Ned, last year We expected nothing and got a wonderful surprise. The best thing the Dictator did was stay out of the way. Over the course of the season, football did The talking and it was great.

This year, even a blind man can see we need experience and quality to progress. Who doesnt want to progress?

But to show such a lack of commitment; to not understand the feelgood factor, to allow the team ( under his ownership) enter a new league, better league, understaffed and clearly lacking in areas that everyone can see is criminal.

I understand your comment, but when the going gets tough and all that. He cant claim success for last season if his ( apparant plan) is to see us drift back this season....

There were still many people (myself included) who wanted the dictator gone last season and said so on this forum, it was so, so frustrating that he didn't sell up last summer to the South Aficans. He needs to go and take the two fraudsters with him.

Re: TAN OUT

We need someone to take the club forward

This small squad will be hit by injuries /Suspensions

Back to league 1 it is

Re: TAN OUT

Wed Sep 02, 2026 8:26 am

It’s a real shame, we had a really good feel good factor, which did not need much to take us forward a bit. A couple of good loans would have done, However, once again no ambition, one step forward 2 back. Yes tan has kept the club afloat, but the debt is much of the juntas doing. If tan does not want to take the club forward then leave it to someone who does.
