When is it going to be our turn?

Tue Sep 01, 2026 5:08 pm

The JB's - spending big money on around 10 signings
The Gogs - spending big money on loads of signings
Bluebirds - spending naff all on no signings apart from Trott, Moylan and Scanlan (loan)

I mean what is left in our bank? £1.50, a packet of Woodbines and a Blue Dragons scarf?

You forgot the CB / midfielder from wba for a fee reputed to be £2.5m All good signings imo and I’d rather that than throwing money around on players that are deemed unsuitable by the manager.

You have missed the point here. The point is that we should have kicked on this season and kept the momentum going. With the greatest respect to Moylan and Bielek ( I did miss him out, thanks for pointing this out) they aren't exactly names to put bums on seats. Two more decent signings would have got the fans on board a lot more. I agree we shouldn't just sign anyone for the sake of it, the manager BBM must have say on this no question, but planning and preparation for this new season should have been put in place as soon as we got promoted, and you cannot tell me that we couldn't have got two other players that the manager would have been happy with in the space of the time that has elapsed since we went up. Sorry, but you just can't.

I've said on other post to me the problem us bbm if you take everything he's said from start of window its looking like hes to pedantic when comes to players he thinks is suitable? Sometimes need to take risks he has not done so and we are weaker squad wise than before window even though the two additions do enhance squad (other 2 already part of squad) we were 8 players less than Wrexham it's probably more now and our backups are youngsters thats the problem

It's not like we spent nothing. We spent £7m.

Swansea sold Galbraith and reinvested it, Wrexham have loads of money.

It's as if this didn't happen. All 4 incomers are starting 11 quality also, with every single outgoing player not.

Logic has vanished from this forum. They'll turn on BBM next (already seeing the foundations of this...)

We did spend big when Tan took over albeit it with the huge caveat that we had to play in red.
