Stoke winger Sorba Thomas is refusing to play against Norwich tonight to force through a move to Hull.

There's always balance to these. Clubs can freeze a player out by forcing them to train with the kids; its taboo when a player enforces something.
Id imagine theres significant cash on the table for Sorba. Id probably do the same in his shoes

I always feel it's a very childish way to treat a professional footballer to make them train with the kids unless they're actually a disruptive force amongst the main group.
However, in those circumstances the club would have to pay the player in accordance with their contract.
If the player refuses to play surely they're voluntarily withdrawing their labour and breaching the terms of their contract?
I wouldn't pay him a penny.

Looks like he'll get his move, £7.5m fee agreed.
Player power nearly always wins - look at Isak forcing his way out of Newcastle last summer.
