I think Boro are a very good away team though because they break at such speed.

The problem for all clubs is that you can't keep them forever. You need to work out if they are at your level now, or at least for a season; then you have to be fair to the lad and let them forge their own career, albeit with a decent return clause.

For an untried 20-year-old, £10 m is not to be sniffed at, but he had pedigree. There is a big difference between playing at a top championship club and scoring than a bit part at a struggling Premier League club

The issue is it's very tempting to sell homegrown players because of the way the financial rules work. If it was 5 years ago he'd be on loan... I suppose it does work the other way too Lewis Komuas is getting a shot in Liverpool as they clearly need to make a decision now on if he's at that level or not
