Very encouraged after that

Sat Aug 29, 2026 3:54 pm

Of course we're disappointed not to win, but there is so much to be pleased about after that.

We dominated the vast majority of the game and other than the two Robertson mistakes, defended well. Good debut from Bielik, very good on the ball.

Played some great football and Salech should have won it for us. Moylan MOTM.

Very encouraged after that :bluebird:

Lacking that killer instinct up top.

Maybe just shows the defensive differences between L1 and Champ?

Salech on another day bags a hattrick..

Cardiff on another day bag 6 or 7 based on the game stats.

Very good from the side. Unlucky to not get the win! Hopefully some positive activity from the club to get a few through the door before Tuesday night!

Frustrating at both ends but we are playing some lovely attacking football at times. We have to stop giving away poor goals and we'll be fine.

Tighten it up at the back and we will finish mid table no problem

Personally I view that as two points dropped. Two players who are consistently good (Robertson and Salech) had absolute stinkers

I thought we were superb today but we should have won that and if we didn't gift them two goals we woukd have won that comfortably

Just hope the new cb is OK

For any players that we are in discussion with, that should show them what we are about, and understand what type of team we are :bluescarf:

Very entertaining game for me, really enjoyed that football today after there two goals . Great at times today but we couldnt win a 1st or 2nd ball for the first ten minutes which sadly cost us 3 points today.

After that we dominated the whole game and should have been 5 or 6 goals up in truth but it's the killer instinct in the championship, stats are irrelevant. I thought the changes in the last 10 to 15 minutes slowed us down and the set piece deliverys are awful 80% of the time it's over hit or does not go over the first man. A good point for Sheffield utd and be interesting to see what wilder says about us.

We go again :bluescarf:

Credit to Chris Wilder, he was honest in his assessment  :ayatollah:

I love a moan, but that was great viewing: :bluebird: :old:

Not going to mention that Robertson doesn't think like a DCM and Salech loves wrestling more than football  :bluescarf:

Competitive in every game so far and we certainly don't look out of place in the division.

Need to start turning these one point games into three points.

I think Salech put his boots on the wrong feet today, he missed a couple of chances that should have at least been on target if not goals.

If your referring to the effort after ball came off bar he had no chance to control ball it was in cricket terms a perfect yorker
It landed under his feet and bounced away before he could move... very unlucky as it could have hit him higher up and been easy goal...

Good performance, bar a dodgy few minutes. With defenders that had never played together before, we deserve at least two more points, probably four more. When they all bed in and the new loans arrive, we should be strong; we sent a bit of a message to the rest of the League today.

Exactly how I saw it. If he had been a foot further back he could have stroked it in. Just one of those things.

You've got to put that away with the keeper already on the deck, granted it was under his feet but still it's not like you've got to find a corner or produce power

Think it was more of a brain to foot movement was not as quick as it should have been,
came to quick to him to be fair ,even though I thought he had a poor fame all round ,hence the need for another striker when he has a poor day.

He was outside the line of the post so needed to control it to score as said he had no chance to control it just one of those unfortunate incidents...
