BBM admires and has looked at Striker Harry Leonard at Peterborough:
It all depends what Posh want for him?
Peterborough United have recently signed Danny Ormerod from AFC Fylde for £600k and 'The Posh' now have a surplus of strikers.

Annis if he comes in Robinson will be gone.

That’s what I’ve been told, but that also could be the problem Robinsons wages

Funny you should say that Annis, I've no inside info at all, but watching the guy play and score against Watford, and, based on his age, I thought at the time that surely BBM must be showing a bit of interest. I then realised the Dictator would have to fork out a lot of money, so dismissed it.
I reckon Posh will want £5M. Whether he is worth that is up for debate. Lower league, on a current hot run of form. Whether its us or not, Leonard wont be with Posh for Long.
As for Robbo, I think he'll be gone from us latest Jan 2027. Pity, I like his enthusiasm, and the fact he plays with a smile on his face. He's been good enough to be called up to play for his Country and as such more than good enough for us. He has only been here through the difficult period. If he had played in a more settled, experienced side, say pre 2020, he'd have been far more prolific. HOw about a swap deal with Posh? We pay them a few Mill (cough cough) for Leonard, they take Robbo and use some of the cash to pay his wages?

Scored against us twice last season
Still young and the right profile for a bbm player

Would be a shame if it meant that Robbo was sent packing
3 strikers competing, with Robbo knowing he’s towards the end of his career and so the happier of the 3 to play a bit part role doesn’t seem excessive. Especially with the demands of the championship
BBM mentioned a few times he doesnt get involved in the negotiation of contracts, so hopefully he could view it as “how big should my squad be”, over who’s currently a big earner
I see on the forum tho loads would disagree with me over Robbo’s usefulness
Fri Aug 28, 2026 8:36 am
Peterborough always seem to get decent prices for their decent player and i my eyes way above there worth of figures posted in last are correct
Fri Aug 28, 2026 8:38 am
I can't see why Robbo would leave. He's already well aware that he's not going to get game time... He'd have played last year when Salech got injured if he had any hope of getting in the team. I can't see anyone wanting to take on his wages so unless we pay him off why would he go

Definitely not me
Can you imagine if every rumour was "updated" on Wiki

Talking to robbo last month,BBM values his experience and wants him around the dressing room etc. He's a nice guy and really enjoys helping the youngsters out. Plus he absolutely loves it here.
Think they've already had the conversation lol

Leonard has got a lot of potential and the right age,if BBM wants him we have got to move fast ,robbo could be used as part of the deal if not we can keep him as back up THE CLOCK IS TICKING CITY!!!

Good managers tend to look at players who scored against them and ask their defenders how hard they were to mark, then track and do the analysis, so maybe something in it?

Would not be cheap.
Scored 16 last season and is young.

I agree; there’s always an agenda against certain player(s) each season, and currently Robbo seems to top the list. It’s well reported he has value in the squad, even during an injury plagued League One season, yet some have decided he’s finished. I don’t see it that way, but but will be interesting to see what BBM’s opinion is (the one that really counts)
As for Harry Leonard, he would be a big signing for us, but after recent events, I’ll wait and see (in the hope it happens)

Paul Abbandanato:
Expect @CardiffCityFC loans from here on in. Club in talks over a fast young winger from a top club. Anticipating a young striker too. That could be it then, tho outside chance of a 3rd body. BBM focus very much on quality over quantity. Likes his young squad

"Loans from here on in".
Well that brings this thread to an end straight away if this bloke is right in what he says.

The outside chance of a third could be Leonard. Would also say that the journalists don't get as much information as they used to. None of the local ones knew about Moylan.
Bielik deal was several days in the making and not reported by anyone.

Exciting loans from the Prem can be very useful and can get teams a lot further in the season, but I do wish to see one more permanent deal.
I like permanent deals as they have time to make an impact and you know they will be part of your plans the following seasons.

Glenn just posted we are in for another full back wonder if that means we will send kpakio out on loan to get his confidence back

right back, winger and striker and the I'll say we got a decent enough squad for this season then to compete if they are better than what we have

Keeps fans guessing? But there are clubs who've signed players this week and probably more to come.....there's a £120m sighning still to be done so its a football wide phenomenon not just a city one

Bit surprised at the full back bit. You're probably right that it's to give Kpakio a loan, I think he needs one.

Hope we are as Kpakio is never going to be a full back I think he needs to play as a winger

It was always going to be top loans based on style of play and a top Manager for developing young talent. Last year we got Kellyman in League One; this year will probably be better.

It's the only time you can get quality signings apparently.
Any signings made before the last couple of days of the transfer window only move because no other clubs want them.
