I'm surprised nobodies mentioned the comment yesterday from the Manchester Airport Group who run Manchester, East Midlands and Stansted. They're claim to be selling more Wrexham shirts than Arsenal and Man City and only behind Man Utd and Liverpool. Almost unbelievable.

Selling 100,000 shirts per year is probably equivalent to in excess of 7,000 bums on seats.

Ticket sales, although important, can easily be subsidised by a well run commercial department.

Tickets + Merchandise is probably the equivalent of 25k to 28k attendances for Wrexham.

I wasn't so much thinking of it from an income point of view. I was just staggered that apparently more Wrexham shirts are being sold from those outlets than are currently being sold for Arsenal and Man City. It is almost unbelievable.
