That last sentence seems a little bit odd to me. Like BBM is trying to convince himself there must be money available because we've spent relatively little so far.

You either know funds are available for the right player or you don't. Feeling confident indicates to me that he hasn't yet had the green light from Tan to strengthen the squad.

I hope I'm completely wrong mind you !

We need a minimum of 5 players in. A CB on loan until January is a must at this point. Going into the start of the season without a recognised CB is madness. CM, Winger, Striker and a RB please.

Sounds like more hope than expectation.

Having watched it, he did seem like he genuinely thought players would be coming in. But to be fair, it's always difficult to read him.

Everyone knows we need additions and I'll be glad when it's over so we at least know what we've got then.

Agents and club will know city are desperate for numbers The cards are stacked in their favour for the next few days at least especially if a player has a few clubs in the mix or is not desperate for a move

The one thing for certain is that we need more than one more sighning otherwise our season is dead before it starts?
Nothing bbm as made sense at beginning of window he knows what he's wants? Now it's hoping to get in players? And we've had various references to players in between? All questions but no answers. People blame the board but bbm says he lists players wants/needs and tan makes the financial decisions.. but do the players get as far as tan thats the biggest question.

Obviously there’s a week or so left but I do worry if perfect has been the enemy of good here for BBM.

I'm getting a vibe of every other manager we've had knowing we needed strengthening in certain areas we all know what they are? I just hope bbm is backed or I fear he will walk

I honestly don't think the board are making suggestions on players at this point. BBM knows who he wants, my guess is we've missed out on a few and the plan was to get a couple in on loan at the end of the window as that's when decisions get made..... Look at Lewis Koumas I thought he'd be perfect here and thought for sure he'd be loaned out to a championship club again but it looks like he's going to get game time for Liverpool
