We should be getting a great attendance to watch all the newbies coming in and playing and to keep our exitment going ,
the start of the season wrexham was a good start ,derby was a great draw away, and it "should " be a decent crowd don' t know how many Sheffield have sold but exspect 2,000 so prediction or guess at 23,000.

We'll all be wondering where all those who turned up just to see Wrexham have disappeared to.

Sadly yes but i' ll be travelling down sat morning 7.30am looking forward to it i hope fans don' t stay away and if the canton cannot be full i fear for the season the stadium should be banging but no new recruits yet and injuries will no doubt effect the attendance put the 4 new faces we exspect at the game that would help but we are where we are.

No we won’t mate.
Most of us know it happens all the time and it happens to virtually all clubs.
Look at the small clubs that get to a Johnson’s Paint final as an example. Their average fan base of say 10k swells to 30k.
We have a hard core of around 18k that goes up and down depending on where we are and who we’re playing.

Anything over 24k i would be very surprised I am going 23k at most

Imagine what it will be like when we are in the bottom three at Christmas?

Bank Holiday weekend, and loads of big events going off around the country as well as the smaller localised events, all competing with the City.

That’s the spirit!

Shame the Wrexham game was hardly a crowd pulling experience for the extra fans who came. as usual when we pull a big crowd we didn’t really show up. A few signings might help show some ambition too….

Sheff U never as well supported as Wednesday. They've had a couple of tough footballing years on and off the field. I can see them bringing 1500-2000 max. Poor for what I believe to be a big club.
As for the attendance. We'll not hit the heights of Wrexham. Nowhere close. Do we deserve to? possibly, but I can see us returning to an attendance of 22000 inc Sheff U fans..... Which will be disappointing but par for the course for us at the moment.

Agree with all of this.
Wednesday fans are a million times better than United.

No reason it shouldn't be the same as Wrexham.
It won't be though.

With everyone apparently so happy except a few on here:
Our new signing
Has to be 25,000 if it seems it’s only a few of us that unhappy
United though never bring massive support
Thu Aug 27, 2026 5:16 pm
20,637 They're not exactly a pull and their away support isn't great.

When was the last time we got 25k for two home league games in a row?
Not since the Premier League days I'm guessing.
So extremely unlikely it'll be near that. Especially with it being a bank holiday weekend and people doing other stuff, as leeds blue says.
