Signed it!
Not overly confident that we'll get the numbers we need for the board to even blink an eye at it, but it's got to be worth a try!

The club say it saved them hundereds of thousands of pounds in police costs having it this way.
I agree the atmosphere would be a lot better but is it worth the cost?
It won't happen.

I've signed it. I don't think it will do any good but, if nothing is tried, then nothing will change and, if we get more than the 1,700 people from the family stand who said they don't want to move ends, then surely the club have to listen.
One question though. Is there a time limit set for this petition?

Luke,
Stewards could do the job.
Police are called in anyway for big games, Jacks 300 police/ Leeds home 250 police.

They still have to pay the stewards though even if it is pennies.
We will always have police for the big games.

Personally, I think there should be a time limit on it. I think it would lend it more credibility if you can turn around and present a petition in, say 2 or 3 months, with 5 ,000 signatures on it rather than have one that's been going for a long time
Wed Oct 27, 2010 10:26 am
Well if we do get 5,000 signatures in 2/3 months then we can say that we did that.

I've signed it. It makes sense to swap the ends. The Canton is always the last to sell out with the family stand being the first. Capacity in the Canton is bigger-you get more families in and in the long term the club benefits. Plus from a selfish point of view i'd be able to get tickets more easily.

Excuse my naivety but is the sole reason for this change to allow a certain type of supporter to sit close to the away fans?
Or are there other reasons?
