BBM said it was a nonsense story in the first place.

The player and BBM are saying virtually the opposite to each other.

I’d believe the player over BBM who’s obviously going to deny any links to any players until it’s a done deal. I wonder whose decision it was to say he wasn’t worth the 2million release clause.

If this is true (and it's a big if) then it's inreasingly difficult to imagine a bid of almost £7m being made for the Norwegian lad if the club are baulking at paying £2m for this Dutch boy.

This is the Cardiff we know. Hope they don’t break BBM before we get someone else in charge….

Agree totally, if BBM starts to realise that maybe he won't be backed as much as he may have been promised or thought he may reconsider his position.
We have ourselves a fantastic manager and if he's been told we can't afford the two million release clause on a player that was rumoured to be of interest to us then that says a lot about the hierarchy to me.

5m is now the norm for a standard solid Championship player.

I'll believe our manager over some random player who is probably just trying to save face. He's unlikely to answer a question about his future by saying "oh that club didn't want me".

How do you come to that conclusion?
Every player has a worth to the purchasing club. Dahl was worth 7mill, i mean, he ended up in the Prem, Meulensteen is not worth 2mill.

At the moment we have no way of knowing whether either player is "worth" the amounts mentioned.
Meulensteen could have turned out to be a steal for £2m and Dahl could be a waste of £8m.
We just don't know.

Perhaps they enquired about him, but did not think he was worth that money? Something we will never know.
