The Canaries have suffered two losses to start the Sky Bet Championship season though. They were defeated at home, 2-1, on opening day by West Bromwich Albion and followed that up with a 3-0 loss on the weekend at Millwall.

They have recruited five players so far for the First Team squad during the summer transfer window. Sam Field (CM, QPR), Andre Brooks (LW, Sheffield United), Darlin Yongwa (LB, Lorient) and two loanees in Bruno Alves (CB, Cruzeiro) and Anthony Musaba (LW, Fenerbahçe) have joined the Club.

Last season's top goalscorer was Jovon Makama, who linked up with the Canaries from Lincoln City during the summer of 2025. Makama netted 10 league goals from just 28 appearances, missing the latter half of the campaign with a broken bone in his foot. The 22-year-old is yet to appear this season.

34-year-old Kenny McLean is Norwich City's captain. The midfielder joined the Club in 2018 and has gone on to make over 300 appearances for the Canaries in all competitions. McLean famously scored from the half-way line for Scotland to help secure a spot at the 2026 World Cup, defeating Denmark, 4-2, in a pulsating clash.
