Brian Barry-Murphy expects Cardiff City to have a new signing through the door before Tuesday's Carabao Cup clash with Norwich City as he admitted the club's defensive situation cannot continue.


And with the transfer window closing on September 1, Barry-Murphy has made it clear that reinforcements are required, with the Cardiff head coach expecting movement before Tuesday night's meeting with Norwich at Cardiff City Stadium.

“We need strengthening and I expect to bring in a player by Tuesday.”
