Fuming

I’m fed up of seeing most of the clubs in this division being backed financially this year. Even the clubs who are not going to be anywhere near the playoffs. We have the best Cardiff City manager that we have had for a long, long time. Both Swansea and Wrexham have strengthened this summer. But we haven’t at all.

I used to be the one who was waiting saying the window is still open for another 11 days. But I’ve had enough of all of that talk. We need at least another 4-5 players.

Nothing will happen, we may sign one permanent player and a few loans but that’s it. We are going to rue the day that BBM will have enough and decide to leave us.

Tan is completely ruining my club and it is extremely frustrating. I see other big financial people or consortiums taking over clubs or taking stakes out of clubs. It’s not just cause I’m a Cardiff City fan. But, how are we not a club that is not looking like a big exciting project. I know most of it is Tan wanting a certain - ridiculous - amount of money to sell us.

We are a capital city of a country, there is a catchment area of about 1m people, which they could make money from. Look at the game against Wrexham on Monday night, we had a 31,000 attendance. We could easily do that every home game, just not with Tan at the helm.

The Amazon bought shares for over £1.3 billion. He could have bought us tenfold and done a hell of a lot more with that amount of money. We could have started to resume building our training ground and academy facilities. We could also make our academy Category 1.

I can see what both of you are saying....huge concerns about how weak the squad appears to be vs moaning about it.

I sit in the middle....it's clear the squad needs strengthening, but live in hope that BBM knows what he's doing. I don't tend to get frustrated, more like living in hope.

If we get hammered at Derby, then the moaners will kick off on here and elsewhere.

If BBM manages to get some good players in, albeit late in the day, then hopefully that'll be good enough for us to finish above the bottom 3 places.

The flip side of that, is that the vast majority stick with their club regardless of the owner!

For some, seemingly including you, it was the last straw; for others, it was used as an excuse (mostly once we got relegated still in red)

The age dynamic on the forums is quite old. Our generation has a tried-and-tested belief system that has continually failed over the last 50 years. Signing "names" on the downgrade for a quick fix has cost us a (no-return) fortune.

Remember, I'd rather be blue in league 2", With local lads playing for the badge !!

We have probably reached the academy limit and need to add another 2 or 3 to improve the sqaud to survive and improve the squad comfortably.

BBM isn't going to sign Gary Madine. I think we'll get what he wants by the end of the window when the transfers for everyone ramps up; it's trickle-down economics in football, and we are a lower-table Championship team, trying to catch up with the world in buying players for a few million and selling on for £10 mill after one season.

I think you're conflating moaning and complaining about City with in some way not being supportive, I spend a good deal of each game having a moan at players etc, which may not be ideal in your eyes but I think it's far better than spending 90 minutes sitting on your hands in silence. But let's look at the facts. We are back where we started from 2 seasons ago - a poor [I'd say a lot poorer] Championship side who's only addition to a weak squad had been a player from League 1. Even allowing for our totally clueless recruitment strategy, not to strengthen a squad now playing in a higher League is absolutely crazy. We know what's going to happen - we'll get a couple 'over the line' before the window closes and BBM will say he's happy with the club's transfer business but unfortunately one or two didn't happen. And then another season struggling at the foot of the table, because that's where we'll be..

We all know who the constant moaners are and they won’t change whatever happens at our club as you pointed out.

It’s a cliche but people are either glass half full or glass half empty in their lives. That transfers to here and it won’t change their perspective or their personality.

So realistically we should all be prepared for another season in the Championship and expect to be down near the bottom fighting relegation yeah?
We have to be honest without any reinforcements (which is a possibility considering as you say we're broke) we will struggle.
If we do make one or two signings tbh I would be expecting a couple of game changers as apparently we've been waiting for the
right players to become available and we won't just sign anybody, time will tell but the silence is deafening.
I'm not your typical doomsday merchant the opposite tbh but the longer we go without signing one or two game changers the more people on here will lose faith which would be a shame considering last season's success.

The Wrexham game was thanks to Wrexham attracting the extra 10k for attendance. Don’t be fooled they were there for city.

Your right tan isn’t the best for this club and most want him gone, but Cardiff doesn’t seem that big of an attraction to investors at the moment. So we stuck with him. We just have to suck it up.

What about 30/40 regular posters on here?
Most city fans turn up watch the game get on with life, the behind the scenes of the club have little interest to them it is what it is and they just love their club.

On here very are very vocal about this and that which is awesome but the feeling about on here I would imagine done reflect the the feeling of the average city fan.

All the talking will be done on the pitch people will lose faith if we lose games. We didn't sign many last year and lots of people thought we'd struggle. I also remember most thinking we only went down in the first place because Riza was in charge. 7 of the 11 on opening day were in the team that took us down I think the other 4 are a big improvement on who we had and the manager is a massive upgrade too, did we go down because of the manager or squad? Because it looked to me that we were far too good for league one last year

Ned some people never change just dont stress yourself out, let them get on with their moaning, I have been suporting city for 65 years and will still support them until I am gone. I don't take any notice of them all, they have nothing better to do

It’s pretty calm here I think, particularly compared to another one which I’ve just given up on after 25 years which has turned into a left wing WhatsApp group more than a football mb. At least football gets talked about here….
Two more decent signings and I think we will be ok with the young talent we have, risky game Tan is playing though if we go down again and lose BBM for lack of investment.

We all know who the constant moaners are and they won’t change whatever happens at our club as you pointed out.

It’s a cliche but people are either glass half full or glass half empty in their lives. That transfers to here and it won’t change their perspective or their personality.

We all have a moan at times including me of course but it’s beyond on here at times.

People can complain about genuine things like when Tan changed our colours etc but people acting like it's the end of the world because they're upset we haven't signed a few players is pathetic.

That ‘most’ don’t give a ‘flying’ for other clubs predicaments, it only goes to strengthen the fact that other clubs have their issues, too! We can only worry about ‘our’ club’s actions or failures, and that’s what makes it seem bigger than it really is

That's why he turned us back blue provably due to low merchandise sales. Other clubs fans wouldn't have rolled over like you.
