scanlon came back,I don' t count him as a new signing,

moylan is a new signings and has replaced wintle,

And no one has replaced kellyman

Technically Trott and Scanlon are transfer signings but not new ,
they where here last season

So to date we are still down 1 player from last season ,saying we have signed 3 players already is a bit disingenuous.

That's exactly how I see moylan is the only one really for a Reported 1m paid up front and the other 1m next season although he played in the same division as us and so far looks decent for the championship even if he's not played there before. The problem I have with loans is yes they help short term for a season or whatever is the fact we are back in the same boat the season after rebuilding with more loans.

Some believe we have loads of money to slash about due to made up media story's to get players moves, yet we got a manager who says we need players weekly since the season ended then the next it has to be the right player he says. I don't believe for one second bbm didnt have a list ready 3 months ago more or less that he wanted here for pre season needed in and ready to go that would to improve the squad but can only say certain things to the media after all it's a job.

We got 10 days to go something like that so plenty of time left yet as the Rosey bunch say. Hopefully 3 or 4 more come in atleast. I don't care who they are in truth as long as they improve what we got on the pitch as BBM knows what's needed

Completely agree guys. It's been such a disappointing window so far. We had a brilliant reset last season and there was a chance for this club to build on it and really kick on.

Whether it's down to BBM being slow (Ive not ever heard a manager say that before)..or the club simply not backing him. It's same old Cardiff City lacking in any sort of ambition. Surely you can have ambition without blowing loads of money. You can possibly remain calm whilst showing ambition too.

The club say they have to look after him and his welfare - well they aren’t. Same old quotes coming - ‘couldn’t be done in time’, ‘couldn’t get it over the line’ etc. and again no engagement from Dalman and Choo breaking the promises they made to fans. My fingers are crossed for the season as last year was so enjoyable and to those players and BBM I say well done.

This is very worrying if no new signings are happening ,
We have a very thin squad for championship , could be a disaster happening ,
And I actually believe that kellyman was the main player to get us promoted last season , he’s left a big hole in the team and we need a replacement fast

I think we still need a minimum of 4 signings. Ideally, I would want another 6-7 to give us improvements and squad depth, but that clearly isn't going to happen.

Positions we need to prioritise on strengthening are:

Centre back
Holding midfield (Wintle replacement)
Winger
Striker

I don't think anyone can argue with that and I think that's just the improvements we need to make us competitive at this level.

If we want to show a bit of ambition and challenge for the top half, I would like a box to box midfielder to add quality and legs, plus a second centre back, as I only trust Lawlor to consistently perform well at this level.

I'm massively concerned how easily Wrexham were able to get at us just by playing a direct long ball. Although we played well overall, we gave away way too many chances and that's playing at home. Away from home, we're going to take quite a few hidings, so it's essential we improve our squad. We need a far more solid spine to our team with a new centre back and holding midfielder essential.

Without doubt we need new players.

Bit harsh to say it's disingenuous when we say we've signed three because we have, but you are right that we haven't added numbers yet.

It's gonna be so disappointing if because of a lack of a few signings we end up going back down to League 1.
Not saying that's gonna happen but I can't see us much above the relegation places come next May without a few reinforcements.

We can only have 25 over 21 at the end of the window.

We have 21 who count at this moment, Kpakio and Lawlor don’t due to their age.

We can have 38 players, but only 25 can be registered so it’s a waste of money (like what Wrexham have).

Etete is still on the books unfortunately but unlikely to go into the registered squad.

What is making our squad thin is the areas we don’t need to improve on, everyone is injured

Will we buy or just loans again ?I thought after the reset winning promotion we would be pushing the boat out it's yet to happen but I hope it's not just loans again lets build for the future.

Same here Monty, I thought we might be more active with the change of rules and the positive promotion campaign but looks unlikely.

I anticipate some loans, I wouldn’t begrudge us for picking up a few young players (under 20) who could sit on the fringe and potentially force their way into the team, or worst case provide decent cover while they develop.

Loans will probably come through next week, at least that’ll be a plaster over the issue we have

Sorry Al, they've lost 7. All bar 1 have gone to the lower leagues on freebies, 1 has gone to Lincoln on a free. So squad is smaller yes but looks like they are getting their house in order, removing the deadwood. They've still bought 5 new players in though (not incl the 8m loan player than was made permanent - a big statement of intent from them) and have strengthened their squad and 1st team considerably...yet they are still moaning that they need more to cover injuries. That doesn't make our moaning quite so entitled in comparison. That's all I was trying to get across.
