Les Lea

Everybody at Cardiff City Football Club has been saddened to learn of the recent passing of Les Lea.

Les joined the Club on December 15th, 1967, and went on to make 100 league and cup appearances for the Bluebirds.

He featured prominently in our run to the Semi Final of the 1968 European Cup Winners' Cup, a famous era in our history.

We would like to offer our condolences to Les' friends and family at this very sad time.

Sad news indeed - I remember him being a neat, tidy footballer who rarely gave the ball away. RIP

Very sad news.

Leslie Lea was a member of my favourite City team of all time.
