Cardiff City head into Derby with fresh injury concerns after Gabriel Osho left on crutches, while Calum Chambers remains a big doubt.

However, there is now a concern over Osho's fitness ahead of Saturday's first away game of the season against Derby County.

Barry-Murphy confirmed the defender had hyperextended his knee late in the game and was left in discomfort, explaining the crutches were used to prevent him from putting weight on the injury after the final whistle.

"Well, he hyperextended his knee late on, so he was in discomfort," Barry-Murphy said.

"The crutches were just to make sure he wasn't weight-bearing after the game, but we'll check on him this afternoon and see if he's OK.

"He was quite sore after the game, so we'll have to check on him this afternoon."

A big physical striker like Carlton Morris potentially up against Perry Ng and Joel Bagan as CBs on Saturday doesn't fill me with excitement.

BBM continues to say he wants a small squad, well we got away with it last season, I don’t see us getting away with it this season, then he says he needs to strengthen, everyone can see that and before deadline day we will have to strengthen with quality.

We have 4 centre backs with 2 make shift fill ins. Of our squad, it’s probably the least that needed reinforcements before the injuries.

We have a small squad but also have a squad limit to adhere to, so extending beyond that for the sake of a handful of games is just not feasible. It’s more worrying that none of our younger players seem to be defenders. The crop that’s coming through are all forward players

It’s either loans or free agents and that makes it harder

For me this is every summer, the club always put their name to a money signing never comes off, then don’t end up doing anything then really, these days you’ve got to spent a good bit of money just to survive, for me as a club why can’t we be proactive for a change and not reactive,we’re always behind the 8 ball every time, with these clowns in charge we’ve got no hope, these centre back injuries happpend weeks not something that happened over night?every manager that comes here says their getting backed,we have the same shit every summer off Glen oh we be spending on this and that, and end up with the scraps and loans no1 wants, another day Monday Wrexham hammer us to

But they didn't hammer us, they didn't even win.

It's like saying, another day and I'd spend the night with Margot Robbie

They did hammer us,should have been 3,4-0 up before we scored,we created nothing all night, only way we was scoring was a screamer like we did or an own goal or something because we was toothless all night
