Well worth the investment when the club has spent so little during the summer.
Perhaps BBM doesn't want him?
Which begs the question - who the heck does he want?
Doesn't seem to be anybody at the moment.

Would be a good signing but we're we even aware and would they pay that kind of fee and how much wages

No 2mil on is not a good investment for a loan it's chucking money away. Makes sense for Wolves they'll take him if they go up and can comfortably spend that sort of money due to parachute payments. Totally unrealistic for us

£1.7 million is not a lot if you look at it logically. Thats the same as signing a player for 5.1 million on a three year contract and then he leaves at the end for nothing. James was a stand out player last year getting the Championship young player of the year award.

For the number of weeks he would be with the club it is around £40,000 a week plus salary This player would never have chosen Cardiff over Wolves in any case for a number of reasons

Probably bullshit but if we do have 6.8 million to spend I hope we are a lot shrewder than going for a 2 millon pound loan

It would have. Rodri would have been a nice pick up too but he's also out of our price range

They are likely to be top eight at least and that is not our target. The buy part of the deal is also about triggered if Wolves get promoted.
It's a bit like expecting a player to choose Hull over Arsenal.

It's not unheard of for teams relegated from the Premier League to continue on a downward spiral - I give you the recent examples of Luton and Leicester.
They also have a new manager who is in his first job in this country.
I don't think that will happen to Wolves but it's not beyond the realms of possibility.
