Perhaps a few transfer targets were watching and were impressed enough to decide on the move.

Our up and down attendance record is well known and not in dispute. Nevertheless, our average attendance last season was bigger than that of both the jerks and hollywood and will likely be the same again this season and next.

My point was that neither hollywood nor the jerks could get anywhere near the scale of the attendance or the atmosphere last night.

We can do it again. They can’t even do it once.

Two things can be true.

We are still the biggest club in Wales. Just look at how neutrals are praising our fans from last night.

It is also true that we probably won't get 30k again this season until maybe against Swansea or if we get a big cup game again. But that would be the same with Swansea or Wrexham (if their stadiums were big enough).

If the Hollywood duo stay, they get promoted and vastly expand their stadium they’ll get bigger crowds.

Swansea will never top our attendance as our low average is more than their maximum full capacity, so again a stadium increase required.

The difference is, when we show up we show up big time. If we get to the premiership again, we’ll easily average over 30k, with sellouts against the big teams. A few seasons at that would also boost our attendance, and a stadium increase to 40k would jump our average up the same. It’s all ifs and maybes but currently, they are not bigger than us

It’s all out there when people actually look; and no mention of the number of Welsh Cups or European successes (until now) which add to the mix

We are the biggest club in wales the west country and the marches,which is a big area on this side of the uk.

Mine is simple, who finishes higher in the pyramid at the end of the season. Based on that, I'd say we're 3rd best until proven otherwise.

The problem with that though is if you look at Bournemouth last season they finished above

Chelsea
Newcastle
Sunderland
Leeds
Forest
Etc

I wouldn't call Bournemouth bigger than those clubs

Almost all neutrals would say it was us.

This is what it says, so in the case of a single game, it’s the away goal that made the difference (as you said)

We've played one game this season & who cares who's above who after 1 game, it makes no difference at all at this point.

I can’t see Wrexham ever being a big club, it’s such a small town for starters, they might make it up to the PL like Bournemouth or Brentford but that’s about it.
Laughable hearing them singing about being here for them on Monday, a few years ago we were 5 leagues above them. Did want to see them do well but it appears it’s gone to their heads….they could only dream of getting over 30,000….

That is ridiculous from West Ham for Championship football, fair play.

They’ll be ‘up for it’ currently, but (as with ours) don’t forget their figures include Season Ticket holders who don’t turn up; and there a lot of those, with estimates from last season suggesting they had crowds as low as 35k (about half their stadium size)

Capacity-wise L, we were no better at times, as our support is as fickle as any at times!
