Wrexham complain about Cardiff City officials as 'cheap' mistake turns game

Wrexham were leading 1-0 against Cardiff City in the Championship but Rubin Colwill's last-gasp free-kick earned the Bluebirds a dramatic 1-1 draw, with Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson incensed over the amount of stoppage time added by referee Andrew Kitchen

Parkinson:

“We had so many chances to finish of the game.”

"I don't know where the referee got six minutes from, to be honest," said Parkinson, who was annoyed his side gave away a "cheap" late free-kick.

"I thought it was more like four. I don't think there was an injury in the second half, and I thought it was job done.

They were wasting time all the time. Their player went down and pretended to be injured so he could reorganise them all for a few minutes when the Colwills came on the dopey tw@t.

That definitely happened, so Cyclops Parkinson and his one-eyed views can do one! :ayatollah:

The irony of this! His player went down, they brought two subs on, then as the game was about to restart put the board up for two more. And Rathbone doing his laces with a huge smirk on his face! Got what they deserved!

Ref said 5 mins on 5 mins they gave away that kick! Ref allowed the kick to be taken as is correct thing to do?
Yes ball went in net on 9+7 but as parky knows its s minimum 5 mins not exactly 5 mins! Will say spotted a possible rouse for wasting time which may not be added by Ref? When there was subs being made their player went down injured after (1st sub came on) that lasted 2 mins at least did Ref add the 2 mins+ or just normal 30sec a player? Seen it before in game since new rules came in

There were about 10 subs in the second half between the two teams, that takes up about 5 minutes.

Added time was right. Not sure he can legitimately complain about that.

Second half they just tried to defend and maybe hit us on the counter.

Where he is right is they had chances to make it two, but didn't take those chances.

For all the money Phil Parkinson has spent it just shows his team just isn’t good enough . They will be top half of table but there is still something missing , Moore can’t play 90 mins , broad head doesn’t know his best position . £8 million goalkeeper who looks like he got a mistake in him . They thought they can just turn up and take 3 points at Cardiff , it doesn’t work like that , no class , hope he gets sacked soon

Sour grapes

He knows this is his make or break season and the excuses are laughable

There player was down for 4mins and when you take into account all the other time wasting and subs I was shocked it wasn't 8 or 9

There was 10 seconds left of the 6 added when the ref blew for the free kick and it took less than 10 seconds for rubins shot to go in so there is absolutely nothing wrong with how tge game finished

When he gets sacked he won't get another job at this level

I thought because of all the substitution time and blatant time wasting there should have been 8 minutes stoppage minimum.

It was Wrexham's to lose I thought. The early goal played very much into their hands they aren't a possession team anyway. So hit us on the counter when we overcommit looking for an equalizer and they really should have found another goal to kill the game. They didn't and spent a lot of the last twenty minutes time wasting so can have no complaints about added time

Surely if an injured player is substituted the sub should have to wait until play has gone on for 30 seconds before he comes on?

The guy who was on the floor by the dug out with 15 minutes to go undid his bootlaces then took ages to do them back up again!

That’s where the added time came from Parkinson you idiot. It was your teams fault!

Was speaking to Wrexham fans both before and after the game and they all said the same about how Parkinson tends to sit back on what they have in the second half of games when leading by the odd goal. I am sure his comments come more from frustration having maybe thought the game was won   Got to say most Wrexham fans were decent and good to chat to, apart from the couple of idiots sat outside O'Neills on Mary Street before the game. :bluebird: :bluebird:

Won't be surprised if Parkinson is gone by the end of the season. He's done well to get them from non league to Championship but I just don't see him being the man to take them to the PL.

They have some good Championship players - Moore, O'Brien, Broadhead, Windass, Whiteman, Doyle etc so should be confident of top eight.
